They have the best Happy Hour specials I have ever seen at a sushi restaurant!! $9 for the Bad Boy Roll (so, sooo good) and $9 for a ton of fresh salmon sashimi is AMAZING! The Agedashi Tofu was so good too. I came for an early dinner, thought I was ordering off the regular menu, then was pleasantly surprised when the check arrived. Had I not made other plans after dinner, I would've stayed longer and ordered more! I'm definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Seattle.

Umi Sake House delivers a great blend of fresh, quality sushi and cocktails. Everything we tasted was high quality and so fresh. Clearly, this is a popular spot and there was a blend of casual to dressed up diners the night we visited. The lychee martini is potent but deliciously light and sweet. I had a crunchy lizard roll and miso soup. We also enjoyed the udon soup bowl and shared several other rolls that had up to 10 pieces. The only downside for us was the noise level. On a busy Saturday night, it was very loud in the room where we sat, and the sound bounces all over. So it was hard to converse at our table.Pricewise, for 6 of us each ordering a roll and a drink, plus a couple shareable plates, our bill was over $400, but 20% tip was included.I loved that there were other bars and places you could easily walk to after dinner, in this area.

Fabulous ambiance, mediocre food.Location: Sketchy neighborhood north of Pike Place, paid street parking and paid parking lotsAmbiance: 5 stars - LOVE how cute this place is! Very trendy feeling, great place for date night. We were seated in the indoor/outdoor area - love the natural lighting there and the outdoor patio type couches. Lots of greenery.Service: 5 stars - Very professional and friendly at the same time, food came out FAST!Food: 2 starsThe good: (HH menu) Garlic Short Ribs- the BOMB!!! - grilled perfectly, flavor spot onThe meh: Crispy Calamari - was good - would order again, but not spectacular. The bleh: Spider Roll - the rice was mushy and it lacked flavor - same with the California Roll. Moonraker specialty roll - the citrus truffle oil was lacking in flacor and although the snow crab mix tasted good, everything else lacked flavor.Recommendation: Would order the tempura platter next time - saw several tables order it and it looked really good and try other HH menu items. I heard the most popular roll is the Street Fighter - I might try it, but honestly, wasn't impressed with their rolls. I think the only reason I'd come back is just for the ambiance and the service.

I would skip this place. I had a reservation on a Monday night and was surprised to see there was a pretty long line, so I'm glad I made the booking in advance. I let the hostess know that we were celebrating a birthday and we got seated pretty quickly. We were told we had 1.5 hours for the table, which is understandable considering the wait. For food we ordered the takoyaki, the empress roll, negi toro roll, and moonraker. I thought everything was pretty mid. The takoyaki was mostly breading and not much octopus. The rolls were all soaked in sauce, making them wet and a bit difficult to handle (would fall apart upon picking them up). The pieces of fish were pretty small/thin considering how pricey it was (about $20-25 for a roll). I also thought the negi toro could have been chopped finer and mixed in with the scallions for that rich, fatty taste. As for the service, everything was brought out quickly but I definitely felt rushed. As soon as the entree plates were empty, a busser came and immediately cleaned everything up, and ended up taking our personal plates (which still had a bit of food on them) as well as the empty entree plates. Our server forgot about the birthday and brought the check - I just gave her a reminder and she was kind enough to bring the dessert out. But when she came back with the dessert, candle burning and everything, she chose that moment to ring me up on the POS, which was uncomfortable since I wanted to take some pictures and enjoy the celebration. We had only been there for a little under an hour at that point, so we still had time. Definitely added to the rushed feeling, and I feel it was poor taste for the level of "fanciness" this restaurant seems to want to exude.Overall, I think that this place is a flop. Cute ambiance, felt bougie, but the food was only okay and really expensive. For the price point it's at and the service we received, I wouldn't come back.

One of my favorite place in Seattle. Super unique place and has amazing food. Our server was super knowledgeable on all the different types of sake they have and gave great suggestions for us to try. Their sushi was also amazing. We sat at little couches and it was just a great vibe.

Been here a few times over 2 years... always with large to VERY large parties. Sushi -- consistently excellent, creative, and diverse. Service -- always excellentGreen Tea Tiramisu -- not good. I love love love Italian Tiramisu but this is far far far from that.

This venue was amazing. Walking distance from the Market area. Great service and amazing sushi. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing but still that lively feel to the restaurant. Great spot. Will return when in Seattle.

Great happy hour options that didn't break the bank. Under $100 for hot sake, four orders of rolls, an appetizer and two miso soup. Everything tasted amazing. Was specifically impressed with the agedashi tofu. The server was prompt and easy going prepared to answer any question. Loved the wood paneling and greenery aesthetic in the restaurant. Adds a warm, luxurious, and lively atmosphere.
