First time dining here was underwhelming but I do like the stationed concept like you're in a school cafeteria. There was a tempura section after you've ordered your udon, I like that they offer unlimited tempura crumbs for you to take on the side as well. I didn't realized I was charged extra for something I didn't order until I left the restaurant it was my fault for not double checking but then again the staff should've also put in the correct order as well. I ordered the Kitsune soup udon and got charged for the Niku Beef instead, it wasn't a drastic difference so I didn't really mind but note to self to be careful to check for what you paid for. My noodle was over cooked, there was no chew to it same goes for my friend. Broth was just simple dashi stock didn't really stand out. And for a whole bowl of udon with just a small piece of tofu just threw me off I didn't know it came with just 1 single piece they really should specify that on the menu....The udon to tofu ratio was just off. I also grabbed the sweet potato tempura the cut was just too thick so it was not cooked all the way through, still very much raw in the middle. My friend ordered the Men- Tama so I got to share that with her, it has spicy pollock roe and soft boil egg, it was not memorable lol. None of us finished our bowl because again there's more noodle than topping, even with the tempura we got on the side it was just cold and tasted like it has been there for a while. I had high hope for this place but I don't think I'll be back again.

Delicious udon!Similar to Marugame, pick your udon, grab your choice of tempura, and pay! Quick simple and delicious.I got my beef udon to-go and they packaged everything well. The tempura was still crispy and delicious, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly. The udon broth was on the salty side though, -1 stars.

Solid udon spot in U district. Udon is made fresh in house and there's a lot of selection. There's also a tempura station where you can pick items you want like gyoza, tempura veggies, karaage, etc. Everything is self serve/bus - tempura sauce, water, cleaning, etc.I got the goma zaru (sesame) udon which was cold and refreshing. The sesame was sweet delicious. The tempura items were also very delicious.Service was okay as service is only there when ordering.

If you're looking for a comforting meal on a cold night, this is definitely a place to check out! They have lots of different soup options and variety. You are able to customize your Udon how you want it. I got a medium and still has to take home leftovers. It is a very generous portion! The curry was very flavorful and felt comforting. The katsu was a little tough and hard to bite. I would probably just skip the katsu next time and get a regular curry Udon. I like how you are able to add on tempura and other sides. There is a lot of seating inside and it makes a great place to enjoy a meal with friends!

Such a cozy meal for a rainy Tuesday night. Located in "downtown" University District. It looks like they have a fresh Udon making machine. Cafeteria style set up where they make your noodle bowl in front of you, put it on a tray, and you can select the tempura pieces you want. Then you sit down. Pretty cool!I tried a Small On-Tama (egg) Udon ($9.75) and a Sweet Potato Tempura ($1.25). Both were awesome :) Perfectly runny yolk.

Hands down the best Udon I've ever had, ever. The shop is very cutesy and nice with a casual ambiance and was a great stop while I was traversing to downtown. The noodles and the takoyaki were a good combo of spice and heat which was perfect for the weather. The order style is cashier and self seating so there was quite a line when going in and we had to wait a bit for a table to clear out.

We were initially going to a ramen place but the wait time was too long so we decided to try this place instead. This place reminds of Marugame Udon in Hawaii. Too bad this location is not great for us & no parking lot. Street parking only so that's very inconvenient. Food was good but hard to return bc of the location.

I've been here twice now and I've really enjoyed their udon both times! Service is friendly. You grab a tray, order what you want and you can pick different tempura/cooked items where you pay and then find seating. Plenty of booths and tables. Noodles are made in-house! I saw them making them which was pretty cool. The udon has a nice chew to them. I got the mentaiko creamy udon and it was sooo good! I also had their sauce udon with an egg and ume and that was pretty good as well. The udon is fairly priced but you can really rack up the price with their cooked items, but everything is so tasty and well worth.

Looking for some good udon in Seattle? Then check out this spot. They have a variety of delicious udon bowls! I got the Men Tama Udon, spicy pollock roe, egg, nori seaweed, and mentaiko-mayo sauce. This was a yummy cold udon bowl and I enjoyed finishing every last bite.

Love going here! The udon is always really good! Tan tan is great for spice lovers, but everything is really an amazing flavor! I love getting tempura on the side, it really completes the meal!It is a very quick cafeteria-style service, so great for getting a meal when you have less time. A nice place to sit and socialize or just enjoy the food as a solo date!
