Being right next to the arena, this is a very busy spot and I recommend getting a reservation, as there is always events going on. We were seated quickly (had a reservation) and service was excellent. Staff is very attentive and makes sure everything is okay consistently. The restaurant itself is very clean and very inviting, the entrance opening right into the dining room does create a chill for all the tables near it when the door opens though.Food was impressive, remaining authentic in terms of flavor and familiarity but lives up to its hype with the quality. Some of the best dumplings I've tried, and the dan dan mian and pork belly were very enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or have an event at Climate Pledge.

3.5 Stars. Came on a Saturday evening. The menu had so much promise. Dumplings, baos, noodles, rice, and protein dishes - all my favorite things.Hits:-Soft Shell Crab Curry Fried Rice ($24) - Salty and delicious with lots of pieces of fried soft shelled crab.-Dan Dan Noodles ($16) - Super soft noodles in a flavorful sauce and minced pork.-Yunnan Ginger Mint Beef ($25) - I tried a few pieces and they were flavorful and succulent.Mixed/Okay:-Honey Walnut Prawn Buns ($10) - The table was raving over these but mine wasn't very flavorful.-Pork Belly Buns ($10) - Nothing too bad but I've just had better, more flavorful / fatty buns. And the pork was not as tender as I usually prefer.-Sichuan Pepper Tofu ($18) - These needed the dipping sauce it came with.Misses:-Chicken and Shitake Dumplings ($16) - these were somewhat disappointing :( It just lacked flavor. Loved the filling to wrapper ratio though.Nice portions. Staff was polite. Interior is trendy and stylish. Cocktail menu looked awesome too.

I overall like this place, I just feel flavor-wise most of my favorite things here taste similar--that asian spicy chili oil. Something that I love about this restaurant is the number of vegetarian/vegan options that they offer. I'd say their ambiance is slightly upscale; kind of like a date night feel.I've tried:Dan Dan Mian--I somehow thought that Dan Dan Mians were supposed to be on the bland side. This one is packed with flavor--spicy peanut buttery flavorRockfish w/Sour Mustard Greens--I love this dish but very spicyPrawn/Chive Dumpling--This was tasty, also spicyI think overall you need to enjoy spice to eat here--walking distance if you're catching something at Climate Pledge.

Food here was fantastic! You must make reservations because it gets super busy especially the day of a hockey game. We came here about an hour and a half before puck drop to have a nice meal and a drink. Smaller menu served family style with great flavors. The Kraken Gong Show drink was very tasty. I loved the Honey Walnut Prawn Buns , they were picture perfect and tasted just as great! The YUNNAN CHILI BEEF was hands down my favorite thing. Disclosure Brussels are not my thing but everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy them and my husband said I had to at least try the sausage that accompanied them (BRUSSEL SPROUTS WITH CHINESE SAUSAGE). Next up were the delicious PORK & TOBIKO DUMPLINGS. I could have taken down this whole plate of these bad boys myself. Perfect blend of spice and flavor. Last up was the GARLIC 3-WAY FRIED RICE it had chicken, garlic oil, fried garlic, garlic chili confit, egg, green onions. The rice was a little hard to pick up with the chop sticks because it wasn't sticky or clumped at all. Flavor was good despite all the garlic, it was not overwhelming. I'm super thankful for that since we were heading across to the hockey game to scream and shout!! Overall a wonderful meal, like I mentioned make reservations because it gets super busy and packed inside. Noise level gets pretty loud as well.

Love the ambiance of this place and the service. They're welcoming, attentive, and very helpful if you have questions about the menu. The only set back is while the seasoning of the food is on point, the meat in several dishes this evening were overcooked. The short ribs were dry and the chicken shiitake dumplings were too. Otherwise, a great experience.

Disappointed. We ordered a rice dish and a fish dish.... Hey that rhymes. The rice came 5-10 minutes before the fish. We were early so only a couple of people in the restaurant so I am not sure why they couldn't get them out together. The food was okay, nothing driving me back to visit again. The rockfish had a good flavor but would have been better with sticky rice. Hard to eat with chop sticks. The atmosphere was nice. The place looked clean with an impressive wine wall. The waitress was friendly and helpful but it got busy before more employees showed up so it took awhile to get the bill

I ordered the chongqing mala chicken for the first time and finished the entire plate including every single chili. Yes my tongue was burning. Yes the dish is amazing. I usually get the scallop prawn gungbao (which is also a must try with a side of rice) but glad I tried this new dish that I'm now infatuated with. I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take a photo but got a pic of their yellow Negroni which was perfectly balanced. I love bitter cocktails that aren't too sugary and this fit the bill perfectly. Look how majestic it looks in its golden glory. Attentive, friendly, approachable staff. Cool neighborhood spot with delicious food and drinks. Can't go wrong no matter what you order.

Came here after a movie night at the Pacific Science Center, it's about a 10 min walk so very convenient. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday night although service was a little slow since they seemed to only have one waiter and a bartender. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and I found the Dan Dan mien and pork dumplings delicious. Nice quiet place with comfortable seating for my party of 7.

OMG. My mouth is salivating just thinking about this meal. I've heard getting into this place has quite a wait especially on event days at the Climate Pledge, I would suggest making a reservation if you can. I made a reservation and got seated right away. I can tell this place just stays busy because of its proximity to the arena so the service was OK. I had to flag down a server a couple of times for water, to get another round of drinks but it wasn't horrible because we weren't in a rush. The food and drinks themselves would be the reason I would return. This place is SPICY and I loved it. I could've easily downed two ordered of the Honey Walnut Buns... OMG. The dan dan noodles are spicy and numbing. I probably wouldn't mix with alcohol just left a weird feeling in my stomach hahaha (maybe it's a personal issue) but it quite literally does numb your lips and tongue. I can't wait to go back!

Ordered the low hanging fruit cocktail and espresso martini. Flavors were good on both and the drinks were very strong.Food wise we got the garlic fried rice, pork belly buns and salt and pepper tofu. Tofu dish was by far the best and tastiest item we had. Pork belly buns were average and garlic fried rice I would not recommend.Service was good the waitress was very attentive and we had no issues.Came on a Wednesday during an event near Climate Pledge Arena and it was packed. Would recommend getting a reservation if you are considering dining here. Inside the restaurant was clean and the bathroom was well kept. Overall ambiance was good.
