I took my partner out on a dinner date this past Friday to one of our favorite spots, Two Urban Licks. We had a late, 10:15pm reservation, but in my experience, they are always super accommodating and never make me feel rushed to leave. Heads up, we were the last people left and although I rushed myself to get out of there because I know how the server life is, the staff were nothing but accommodating. Now, let's go over what we ordered and our ratings! Salmon Chips 10/10: a must get everytime I go! Healthy amount of salmon on each chip and the capers always add the perfect salty touchBrisket Empanada: 8/10, definitely a tasty bite and empanada is chunky! Chipotle crema was delicious. Farmer Britt's Okra: 9/10, slightly salty but come on, a chicken fried split okra? Where could you really go wrong. Wood Fired Rotisserie Chicken w/ Mac & Cheese: 8/10, huge cut of chicken which is a plus but the natural jus/seasoning was lacking slightly. Not really strong flavors in any direction.I don't eat many Mac & cheese recipes, but Two Urban makes a nice, white cheese based Mac that is very rich. A few bites is more than enough, but it did assist the chicken where it was a little dull. Wood Grilled 8oz Butcher's Cut w/ Cacio E Pepe Fingerlings + Asparagus & Red Wine Jus: 9/10: surprisingly, the stars of the show were the asparagus first and steak second. Potatoes were missing something (maybe salt) and a slight crisp but when I took them home and doctored them up, were tasty! Sorbet Trio (Mango, Strawberry, Passion Fruit): 7/10 the sorbet was just okay honestly. Mango was the best tasting and I genuinely believe they replaced the passion fruit sorbet with a different flavor because there was no tartness to any which is something I enjoy about the fruit .Drinks:Desert Rose: 9/10: pretty sweet but the best tasting for my date & I The Distinguished Gentleman: 8/10 STRONG! What else can I say. Gin Dreams: 10/10, refreshing and loves the rosemary aromatics across the nose and tongue! All in all, I will be back of course to try new menu items or check out their brunch! Thank you Two Urban Licks for a great date night.

Two Urban Licks was fab. Their reservation process was quick and easy online and they even have a section where you can write notes on what you're celebrating (I was there for a bachelorette weekend). When my friends and I rolled up they rolled out the red carpet for us, it felt good walking right past everyone waiting on a busy Saturday night. Also, it should be noted that it's absolutely beautiful inside; the perfect atmosphere to wind down after hanging out in the city all day. I started with a "Band on The Rum" cocktail and we also got an order of the Smoked Salmon Chips and Salt & Pepper Calamari to start. The Calamari was good and I enjoyed the peppers that were on top, but the Smoked Salmon Chips were by far our favorite appetizer. It was so good we ordered another one for the table. On the recommendation of our waiter, I ordered the Braised Pork Sugo. It was super flavorful and the pork was very tender. I was impressed. So much so that I got a box for my entrée so I could have room for dessert. When I heard they had a Chocolate Tres Leches Cake ... Oh baby, it was on like Donkey Kong! It was so good and moist and the fruit on top was fresh. *Chef's kiss* All in all, I definitely say you should add Two Urban Licks to your list of places to dine in ATL.

Used to LOVE this place. But now I really dislike it. So sad when a restaurant turns from your fav to a place I could really never return. Their drink menu is filled with prebatched cocktails that aren't even shaken at the least before being served. Very boring and lazy imo as the drinks definitely reflect that. The beef empanada and chicken skins were good. The pork belly lettuce wrap was ehh. But the crab cake was horrible. Laughable even. Should call it a crab pancake. Mushy, flavorless and cold. With a mango salsa? More like 5 pieces of mango and 2 cucumber squares. A joke. I replaced that with the ribs which also were not good. So tough would not even budge with a fork and knife. Picked up and was so hard to eat and chew just overall not a good experience. Will not be back for a long time.

I have wanted to visit Two Urban Licks for years, and finally did a couple of months ago for a few family members' birthdays. We had a large group and had a reservation for lunch on a Sunday. We weren't able to be seated until everyone had arrived. The restaurant was packed and super loud. It's decorated with cool art and has a great vibe for date night.I shared the salmon chips with someone else, and they were okay. I ordered the empanada as my meal and it was delicious. I would definitely like to get that again if I go back!

Nice Ambiance, very grown and sexy Service was good, we apparently was seated at "the celebrity" table Chicken skins had a nice crisp but way too saltyRoasted chicken was dry and Mac needed salt Calamari was the best thing, fried to perfection and very flavorful, I would go back just for calamari Spicy Ceasar was good, didn't like the work of chopping up the baby heads of lettuce Collards could've use some salt and a little vinegar Brisket Empanada was pretty tasty, nicely fried and very seasoned. Expresso martini did what it needed to do

Two is always a great idea. Summary: consistent, great vibes, awesome service and location. Devin was our server today and on this busy Father's Day, he was nice, helpful, and efficient. Great server! The food is always consistent. I always start with the salmon chips. These have been on the menu for years!! So good! Always a great dining experience here. Whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner. If you're near the bar, you get to see the live entertainment. If you're not dining at a table, opt for the bar to enjoy the food.

The parking is plentiful with option for valet. Ambiance is smart casual, with nice low lighting, interior decor, and a beautiful walk of flame lanterns this place has great date night vibes. We came here for a friend's birthday and service was great. It was fast and courteous, and the server even brought out a little birthday dessert for my friend. We did family style because the menu looked so good! For apps we got the Kentucky fried cauliflower. The name is a little misleading because we were expecting crispy and fried but the texture was more sautéed. Sauce was a nice sweet and spicy. We were told the salmon chips were popular, and it definitely had great presentation but I found the salmon to be on the dry side. The mussels were my favorite app, the sauce was flavorful and tangy. We split two entrees which was enough because the brisket portion was huge! Very juicy and tender, definitely recommend for meat lovers. The duck was good too and it was served on a bed of lentils. I would recommend this place as a great date night option, especially with the belt line a 5 min walk away!

Do any of us Two Urban Licks veterans feel as though this place has gone downhill? These last few years, the service has grown passive, the food quality is meh and the menu is underwhelming. Took an out of town friend to brunch about a year ago and swore it off my restaurant repertoire after the terrible experience. Unfortunately, another friend came to visit from out if town and wanted to try it for a light dinner drop in. - She ordered the lemon pepper butter shrimp $26. Two pieces of bored bread floated around the butter pool, sopping up and absorbing any char or crunch. Why not serve this on the side? Shrimp tasted incredibly fishy. Didn't taste fresh. - She also ordered a strawberry salad $15. Portion was nice, but she complained the dressing was too much. - Ordered a side of Mac and cheese $8. The white cheddar was so overpowering that none of us could enjoy it. - Kentucky Fried Cauliflower $16. Too much sauce that I only enjoyed one bite of cauliflower where it had any semblance of crunch. They tout "Mae ploy honey" which is basically the cheap grocery store sweet chili oil mixed with honey, so it was very sweet. The cucumber relish was refreshing. - Cocktails were too sweet and aggressively priced. At this point, salmon chips are the redeeming factor and not worth the hassle.
