Twist Hot Chicken

Hot chicken is all the rage right now with many restaurants popping up everywhere. What makes Twist unique is that they offer a Vegan Hot Chicken sandwich as well as Vegan Macaroni Salad. Please insert the meme here from Futurama where Bender exclaims, " Take my money" It was awesome and amazing. I had the hot level and probably could have tried the next level up, Maybe next time. They also had a Yelp Check In reward. Overall super impressed and I could eat that Vegan Hot Chicken once a week.

Initial thoughtsNew to the area so I'm having a blast trying out a bunch of different places that weren't available in the N. Scottsdale area. I love that TWH offers comparable vegetarian options to the omnivore version. So many vegetarians/vegans, especially in these geographic areas, get the shaft when it comes to thoughtful fast food veg options. Well done and much appreciated.The valueI ordered through Uber Eats so automatically the prices are jacked up but that's the convenience tax, right? Now that said, $53 for two meals here was a bit much.The foodI loved the crunch. We ordered vegan honey hot (medium heat) and vegan twist tenders (lemon pepper). The former was as expected. The latter was not the flavor requested but had some heat on it that made it hard to enjoy. Will try one more time in person to see if this is what they are calling lemon pepper because we got lots of pepper, no lemon, my Yelpers.The fries were delicious with a satisfying batter. The Coleslaw, both vegan and normal were fresh and had good flavor.To sum it up...I've had Nashville hot chicken in Nashville, TN and I like trying our AZ restaurant's twist (pun intended) on this Tennessee favorite. I will return and try again with the lemon pepper order. I'm omnivore at the moment so I may try the chicken vs. the "chik'n" next time. But either way, I am adding this to my list of faves.

A hot chicken restaurant with a separate vegan menu? Had to try it out. We had a disagreement about whether we wanted wings or a sandwich, so of course we got both! We did delivery so can't speak for the restaurant vibes.The vegan jerk sandwich was spicy!! And packed full of flavor. Stayed nice and crunchy without the sogginess even through delivery. The wings were amazing! We went for medium - and honestly that was spicy enough for me. Can't speak to the restaurant, but would def get food from here again

Man, the food here was yummy, but after our 2nd or 3rd visit now, Management has zero oversight.... trash overflowing, tables not cleared, restroom filthy.UPDATE: In response to Saad E.'s reply:We in fact did show grace over multiple visits... we understand that there are indeed some growing pains that require attention to detail as things reveal themselves, but nothing changed over the course of multiple visits over a period of 6 months.The last visit pertaining to our review, the fact was there was no one else at the restaurant other than one other couple w/ their toddler, so there was in fact no long line, no busy pace, and zero customer prioritization in place, so such claim is actually an invalid excuse. In fact, we even brought it to the staff's attention, which was met w/ a shoulder shrug. You have great food - this is merely an opportunity to improve... which is both easy and free, and only benefits the customer experience as well as the owner's bottom line revenue.

BEST VEGAN CHICKEN SANDWICH EVER!!I loved the crunchy exterior so good and so crunchy! "Meat" consistency was perfect and flavor was Great! Went with hot level and loved it! And all the vegan friendly sauces were AMAZING!! Not to mention the value is great!! Fries Included!!?!?! Yes! Highly recommend this place and I'm sure the non vegan is just as good! Don't pass this place up if near the Phoenix area it's a must!!

Twist Hot Chicken has THE BEST spicy chicken sandwich ever! Levels of comfort range from hospital bland (no spice) to "can't touch this", which probably is why I have ulcers. . Their chicken tenders are juicy and delicious, and the wings are sublime!Crisp coatings, juicy chicken and terrific flavor combinations. A twice-a-week restaurant for me!

Maybe I'm the anomaly but I thought the food was horrible. Like, ate mayb half and had to toss it out BAD. Ordered the basic twist sandwich with only letttuce and fries. The chicken had no taste, was dry and had a smell. The fries were not any better. While I can see they are seasoned, you literally can't taste it. Also, how are fries both hard and soft at the same time? They had no crisp (soft part) and the insides were like all dried up (the hard part). I only ate a few, that's how gross they were. I don't understand, there was literally no one there when I went in so they weren't busy with other orders. The guy at the counter seemed friendly enough but they did also took like 15 min for my order. Even my experience is rare, I do not want to go back and try this place again.

Really liked this place! My vegan fried chicken was good and great lest substitute. Really friendly staff. 10/10 would come again. Tip: check in on yelp for free beignets!

It's toooo gooood. the koolaid *chefs kiss* 100% would come again for the Nashville Blues sandwich.
