Turkey Leg Hut Express

I get it. I completely understand the hype, the long lines, the long wait, the crazy rules regarding reservations, all of it. This was my first time visiting Houston & I could not leave without visiting the infamous Turkey leg hut! If you have the patience to wait in line, expect the wait to be about an hour and a half or longer (and that's after arriving early). We arrived about an hour after opening and the line wrapped around the block. If you want to make a reservation you will need to drop $200 via cashapp that is non-refundable and cannot be changed once it's made. If you don't have the patience to wait, head over to the food truck (which includes 95% of the menu, I believe there were only 2 items that were not available on the truck) and you can get your food much quicker than waiting in line (I got mine within 10 minutes!)I got the Turkey leg stuffed with Cajun crawfish Mac and cheese (not pictured) and my friend ordered the stuffed Turkey leg with wild rice (pictured). All I have to say is YES. Both were amazingly good, but the crawfish Mac and cheese hits different! The cheesiness, creaminess, the flavor everything was just done right. I never had Turkey fall off the bone or just be so tender. I don't know how this establishment does it, but they need to keep doing it.

TLH is well known in the city of Houston. They've become so popular that they now have food trucks in different areas in the city. I was driving by and quickly did a U-Turn as I saw one in my area. The service was quick and easy, at the time their wasn't a huge line or hold up. I decided on getting the Cajun Mac and Crawfish Turkey Leg! It was definitely hasn't been over hyped, although on the expensive side for one Turkey Leg, it's worth a try! It was juicy and succulent and the Mac and Cheese was extra cheesy. I'd recommend you to try them out if you find a truck in your area or to go the main location.

The food truck is limited, but still good!! I've been like 4 times in one week lol just trying the different flavors they have for the turkey legs.

I always hear the hype about TLH when ever I'm in Houston or family and friends travel to the land of H, but I decided to find out myself and was beyond satisfied! The tenderness of the turkey leg, the explosion of flavor mixing the leg with the pasta took it there. I'll definitely be returning hopefully this time to the actual spot n not the truck.

The food was outstanding I have recommended it to all my friends and relatives. I would highly recommend any of the stiffed leg. The service was exceptional good .

The Turkey leg was smoked and the shrimp and rice was amazing! However the bones break extremely easy and you might catch a few on the fork lol! However food was absolutely A1 but the prices are outrageous ‼ My Turkey Leg was $32 including taxes.

Definitely a solid four but I feel like it's a tad bit overpriced for what you're getting.Food: I went with the Caribbean jerk turkey leg I think it was around $17. A turkey leg is huge. Enough to feed one to three people. But I will admit I was a little disappointed because the bone was a splinter and there was these splintered pieces of bone throughout the entire turkey leg. I don't remember that at the other restaurant on the southside. Maybe it was just a one time fluke I'm not sure. The crawfish Mac and she was overpriced! For one it was not that good, for two it was like eight or nine dollars for a small to medium size of crawfish macaroni and cheese. I feel like that they should have a way smaller sized offering than that. Half the price of another turkey leg for one side of macaroni and cheese. Not a fan of that at all.Customer service: the customer service here was top notch. The ladies work in this trailer are extremely nice he did a great job. I would like to give them five stars alone just for the customer service. They are really doing a good job. No matter how busy it gets to get your food out right away. I probably would give them Another shot and try a few things more of their menu. This is an express location so the menu is limited.

Turkey Leg Hut was okay. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I visited the while on a business trip with my manager. What she ordered looked very good and she enjoyed it. She ordered a pulled Turkey sandwich with fries. I tried one of her fries and they were like warm. They could have been hotter and fresher. I ordered a fried cat fish bowl with shrimp, dirty rice and crawfish Mac and cheese. It wasn't hot. It was like warm but it did have decent flavor but I wasn't very impressed. It was just okay. It was pretty busy and our waitress was very kind.

I had the Cajun Crawfish Mac and Cheese turkey leg. This was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten.
