Zarate's Latin Mexican Grill

We finally tried Zarate's. It's been on our list since they ran lunch specials last summer. We tried the lomo saltado and the jerk chicken. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. Decor has a cute theme and service was friendly.

I LOVE this place so much!!!! Over 10 years ago I loved it and till this day I still love it! The food is Authentic tasting and a true gem in Oklahoma! I moved back a year ago after 8yrs and Zarate's was still just as Amazing! Magdalena has been our waitress when we come in for lunch and is just the sweetest and makes it very welcoming with her warm smile We always look forward to our yummy lunch and dinner here 11/10 5

I heard about this place from my coworker and I was very excited to try this place, but I was a little disappointed to say the least. The curry shrimp had a nice kick to it, but the sauce was a little on the oily side. The plantains tasted frozen and I could taste the old oil in them. Overall, they were not fresh. The chicken tortillas soup was not authentic, the broth was too watery, tasted like Campbell soup broth. The best plate was the asada plate and I can't remember the name. I don't eat meat, but my wife, daughter and in-laws tasted it and loved it!Their chips and queso was below average, I've had better every where else in Oklahoma. Lastly, their drinks were great! Food - 6/10Service 10/10Drinks 8/10

Absolutely fantastic! Staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food has been great every single visit. Our favorite meal is the lomo saltado. It's almost impossible for me not to order it every time because it's just so great! When you sit down you also get chips salsa and Queso, be sure to ask for the hot salsa! It's delicious! We can't wait for our next visit!

After 30 minutes of waiting after being seated by the woman in black, we flagged down the lady in blue and finally got an order in. A total of 4 parties including ourselves were in the restaurant (two of which were after us and served before us). This was very disappointing service. I admire the woman in blue who didn't originally have our table, but has done great since taking us. This place has good food, but horrible service. I recommend working on your communication between staff so that sections are coordinated properly and all customers can feel attended to. The lady in black was also flirting with the table behind us which was very unprofessional. I just wish we had a designated server from the beginning. I am happy that we ended up with the lady in blue because she was very pleasant and met all of our needs.

Food was great, lots of depth to the flavors. I ordered nacho plate, but wished I'd ordered something with legumes as well. Can't wait to go back and explore the menu more. Cheers

This place had great flavor in every dish we tried. Enchiladas, Azteca tacos, and whatever my husband had with the meat and the French fries and plantains. I liked the beans but no one else would try them. I might have to rethink some of my previous reviews because this IS the best flavor in Edmond. We don't drink but the margaritas were flying in and out of the bar. There was a separate frozen menu with more than six options. Oh, and you can get to the parking lot from the alley if Broadway is crazy. Or you pass it like I did!

This place is great! Family owned business and they try so hard to please! Mango salsa chicken is tasty and their salsa is fantastic!!Please give them a try and support local restaurants

We have been to Zarates several times and have never been disappointed. They have a nice variety of Latin and Peruvian food. Our waiter was really attentive to all our needs. Tip: Their salsa is on the weak side so if you like it hotter, ask for a hotter salsa. It's too hot (for me) but you mix with the mild and it's just right. Everything we have ordered at Zarates has always been delicious. We would definitely recommend Zarates
