Yakimono is always on our short list of choices to eat. Go here if you want to skip the entertainment portion of the higher end hibachi style restaurants. The restaurant is small with plenty of seating. It is not fancy and it could use some decor update but that does not change my opinion of the food.The staff was friendly. I noticed that most patrons that come in know the staff well and share family updates. I live across town otherwise I would come more often. I ordered a salad for the first time. It was simple and delicious. It was fresh romaine lettuce topped with three slices of tomato and julienned carrots for garnish. An ample amount of ginger dressing was served in a cup on the side. I love their dressing. I should inquire about buying some to take home. I ordered hibachi style filet mignon which comes with plenty of vegetables and steamed or fried rice. It is served with two different dipping sauces on the side. The steak was tender and delicious and the vegetables cooked well. I will come back again.

Excellent all around! Food, customer service, price, atmosphere. Oklahoma family owned, and when I say family, I mean family. Husband and wife and their 3 boys. The boys have grown up in the business. When they were younger, they'd be there doing their schoolwork there and now as teenagers are working the family business alongside their parents. My family has been going there since they opened and it's a unanimous agreement that it's our favorite. I always believe in supporting local owned businesses and this one is my favorite. Try it out, you'll love it.

My first time here. I ordered the scallops. They were large and grilled very well. Tender and juicy. When I dipped them in the wasabe sauce they were very delicious. The meal came with white rice and miso soup. The scallops sat ontop of a mixture of vegggies including beansprouts, mushrooms, squash, carrots and onions. The serving size is quite large and i couldn't eat it all but good 4 lunch tomorrow...can't wait. The chef is a nice guy and i enjoyed our brief conversation. If you like scallops come give them a try....delicious!!!

I really wanna give this place five stars but I can't. It's a locally owned mom and pop shop. The owners and their family are always there and that's extremely admirable because they are trying. The food is good but I feel like it's overpriced for what it is and I can't really say much about service since they don't technically serve you. The restaurant isn't like super clean and shiny, it's mostly what you would expect when you walk into a place like this.. grease on the ceiling tiles and things but i frequent it when I want hibachi food without going to a full out grill. Give it a shot and see what you think.

An absolutely pleasant surprise! Wasn't sure what to expect but when I had my salmon hibachi meal my tastebuds were jumping for joy. Every flavor of seasoning you can taste with each bite. My sons also enjoyed their poke bowls. The drinks were also amazing. Very attentive staff!!A MUST go spot if you are in St Pete Beach!!!
