Woodys Smokehouse on Dermott drive will never have my business again. Well I can guarantee you that it's not good business practice to call a customer that pays your wages an old and an ugly Mother F er by an employee at the window. I placed my order at the window for 1/4Lb of pulled pork1/2lb of TurkeyPint of baked beansPint of potato saladPaid $33 dollars only to discover when I got home I had no potato salad. I took everything back with my receipt had to drive back and yes when I pulled to the window I was not happy. The fat bearded guy at the window opens it and said can I help you. I I first stated I was not happy because I had to come back. Also stated that my order was missing something handed him my receipt and the bag and said you tell me what's missing another employee walks up, and this guy tells the other employee that this customer has an attitude. He's rude as hell I hollered excuse me he opened the window and proceeded to tell me that I was f old, ugly, and stupid. at that point I told him I want my money back. We're done with Woodys that turned into a problem. Nobody could figure it out. The manager was outback working on his truck, which is probably why things were going to hell inside I just paid $33 for food. I only wanted what I paid for But at that point being told by the owner's family member is what I was told that I was old, ugly and stupid I was done. I had to go back into the store to finally get a refund and I'm gonna tell you everybody's gonna know and I know lots and lots and lots and lots of people. Google is also going to get a review so I'm telling you whoever owns the store and you might wonder why your profit suffer well there you go

Wanted something different for breakfast, so I stopped by Woodys for a burrito. I got chopped meat (my guess is everything left from yesterday), potatoes, egg, and cheese. The place smelt great from all the meats slow cooking in the smoke. The burrito was good. The meat had a slight sweetness to it, but after some salsa, it was all good.

The food is amazing,The inside of the building looks spacious,the ambiance is great,the lighting is great for people who are sensitive to light,the service is excellent.

They left the BBQ out of BBQ. Like eating flavorless junk. Ordered juicy sliced brisket sandwich. It was dry, chewy, and flavorless. Had to pile pickles and onions on it and drizzle some bbq sauce on it to make it edible.

This is a great place for BBQ in the Joplin, Mo area! I really really enjoy the hot links as well the pulled pork! The ribs are very good but it wouldn't be my first choice at this location. It can be a bit pricey, however, most BBQ places tend to be expensive! Overall, definitely recommend for a good BBQ experience!

It's run of the mill BBQ... I lived in Kansas City for about 20 years so I'm not overly impressed with Woody's.You should be able to taste the smoke but it just is not there. So all that your are left with is a pile of cooked meat. Don't get me wrong, I am a carnivore but if your going to do BBQ, do it right!And what is the deal with the employees? They all seem to be operating in full zombie mode. No personality, no smile, no thanks for eating here so that I have a job... They just kinda stare at you which is creepy.Guess that covers it...

For BBQ in Joplin, I was super impressed! I wasn't sure what to expect since it's about 2-3 hours south of my favorite BBQ in the world - but the meat here is so delicious. Juicy and flavorful - although there isn't a strong smoky flavor. Pulled pork and brisket are delicious - and you can order sandwiches (they just had bulk meat on the big menu but they have a separate menu for dining in) Their sauce is pretty good but not quite as good as you get in KC. Their baked beans were a little disappointing - not the best texture and flavor development wasn't there. Next time I will try a different side. You can take out or eat in, and the atmosphere of eating in is exactly what you'd want in a classic American BBQ place.

Great brisket. Friendly staff. Clean and nice restaurant. Can eat in or take out your food! Lots of fun!

Trust me, get the pulled pork nachos. If you get them to go, ask for the queso on the side so the chips don't get soggy. One of my top meals! Make sure you get some sweet bbq sauce on the side too! Love this place.

The cost was high, the service was extremely slow and the brisket and ribs were tough. I won't be back:(
