There's no shortage of chicken tender specialty restaurants these days, so they have to stand out to pull people in. The Yelp reviews + proximity to my hotel had me checking out this chicken. The verdict? Pretty damn good. I'd just driven in, and I've given up my road trip vices and snacks so needless to say, I was pretty damn hungry. They have a nice if not overwhelming breakdown of all their dipping sauces when you walk in; I tried a jalapeno ranch and their house sauce, both of which were crazy good. My chicken tenders were also very good. Grabbed a spot outside and service was quick to bring them out. The breading was super crispy, and the chicken seemed to be of good quality; aka, not chewy/woody/weird. The fries were OK, could've been hotter and crispier but the sauce helped carry them over the finish line. Kind of fast-food, kind of not, but whatever it is, I see why people like this spot in Bentonville.

They have one job only, and that is to cook chicken.....they nailed it! Decided to give this place a go for lunch a while back and am happy to report it was off the charts good. Fries were perfection and Mac and cheese was some of the best in recorded history!

We decided to try a new restaurant and had heard good things about Waldo's so we went. We had wings, tenders and chicken nachos, with fries and wedges. Excellent food, nice flavor and not too much breading. Highly recommend the comeback cause and the rooster cause for dipping. Service was fast and friendly, everyone looked like they enjoyed working there. It has a sports bar vibe so it is a little noisy, but you can still carry on a conversation. Plenty of big screens for watching your team. Will definitely be back.

The best thing about Waldo's Chicken & Beer is the name (I mean, sounds enticing doesn't it?)...and the ranch dressing. There's nothing wrong with them, but nothing particularly right either. $12 for six wings and a small side (although they drumettes were pretty large)? The skin was not crispy at all, which is kind of a big detractor. The rooster sauce was a little overly sweet for my taste, but the traditional Buffalo was classic and good. Partner had some tenders that were altogether lackluster with not an ounce of crispy, but were tasty. Anyway, they're not terrible, but they are forgettable, and in a market with LOTS of chicken joints, you gotta stand out. They didn't.

Day 2 is the service of as quick and friendly. The appetizer of onion rings seemed pretty expensively be for what you get. The 1/4 white fried chicken was tasty. Chicken was flavorful and crispy. Would have preferred that the cheddar biscuits were warm. The macaroni was over cooked and so-so. For fast food $40 with a tip was a bit expensive.

Overcooked and heavily salted. Maybe just a bad day for them. Tator chunks were good but fried were either half done or overcooked. The guys behind the counter were nice. Tye redeeming item was coleslaw. It was the best in this area
