Service at Bill Knight Volvo is fantastic. I was out of warranty on a problem which I had dealt with on my Volvo for 50,000 miles. Service Manager Kelly Casey went to bat for me with the Volvo rep and they will repair my car free!

Post on behalf of my father, Dr. Richard Gordon. After 40 years of loyalty to the Volvo brand, our recent experience with this dealership has convinced us to turn to other automakers in the future. In late May, our 2016 XC90 lost power and quietly coasted to a stop. It was towed to Volvo of Tulsa and when it was finally examined 1 week later was diagnosed with a faulty fuel sensor. Fuel sensor was replaced. We got a call on Friday June 10 saying car was "ready to go"--it wasn't convenient for us to pick it up that day and when we called on Monday June 13 to confirm it was indeed ready, we were told "you won't get far--you are probably going to need a new engine" because when it was taken for test drive it ran rough. While we were perplexed as to how we went from "it's all ready for you to pick up" to "you probably need a new engine" in a few short days, we approved further inspection and every time we called for update were told that there were "2 vehicles ahead" of us. Finally some 3 weeks later we were told fuel sensor wasn't the problem but that a spark plug had disintegrated and "probably sent metal fragments thru the engine." Given the choice of tearing down and MAYBE being able to repair damage (but if unable to repair, then having to replace engine anyway) vs just replacing the engine, we OK'd engine replacement. Engine was paid for and ordered and arrived first week July and we were again told there were "2 vehicles ahead" of us before our engine could be replaced. When repair finally began in early August, several other problems were "discovered"--bad fuel injector, damaged turbocharger--eventually pushing repair costs to $20,000--which is not necessarily unreasonable, but given the shifting diagnoses and general lack of transparency we are left with the nagging concern that MAYBE further damage happened AT this dealership that MAY have been avoided if there had been a thorough inspection and accurate diagnosis before the "wrong" initial "repair" and restarting the engine occurred. So, after 3 months of being told "2 vehicles ahead of you" and a multitude of shifting explanations, the repairs are presumably completed--and we are left with the potential dilemma of having to decide where to turn to for repairs if there are further problems since we have lost all confidence in Volvo Cars of Tulsa / Bill Knight Lincoln Volvo dealership.

My son goes to college in Tulsa, but we live almost six hours away. When we started having some issues with our 2013 Volvo back in November, we were a little worried about finding a place for service since we were so far away and not familiar with options in town. We had to have the car towed right before Thanksgiving and the staff here could not have been kinder or more helpful, which was especially appreciated since I know that's a very busy time with so many people are getting their cars ready to travel for the holiday. They got the issue fixed, communicated with us (send a thorough explanation and video), and charged a VERY reasonable amount for the work. More recently, we had a couple other issues come up this month and they were again exceptionally accommodating, communicative, and helpful. I want to especially thank Alex, our service rep, who provided A+ service for us. We've been Volvo owners for decades and our experiences here were better than any of the dealers we've used in the past in St. Louis, where we live. Thank you!

So I have owned Volvo's since 1996. And always took my cars to Arts or the Volvo dealership when it used to be at Memorial and the Creek Turnpike. But when the only Volvo dealership moved to 41st and Memorial the quality of mechanical care went down SIGNIFICANTLY!The last experience is what completely broke all confidence I had in them. I was having electrical issues and A/C going in and out on me and blowing fuses. I took it to them and explained what was going on and the electrical warnings I was getting on my dashboard. Spent over $500 on labor for them to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. I even specifically told them I was getting ready to go on a 3,000 mile roadtrip (which I didn't take my car because I didn't trust is was 100% ok) and to be sure everything was checked out. I asked about the Alternator specifically and they said everything was ok. Now I go to OReillys after getting a new battery and still having the issues, and within 5 minutes they tell me the alternator is bad after a quick test. Seriously?!! How can you all call yourself certified Volvo mechanics??Never again.

I drove down to Tulsa for work and my car battery went dead. I knew it wasn't the alternator from experience. Luckily, their parts department was open at 8 AM on a Saturday and the friendly parts guy got me the battery for a low production Volvo model and I was on my way.Kudos for the very friendly service of the gentleman that helped me AND for having a rare battery in stock.

I recently purchased a dealer loaner S60 Volvo from salesman KYLE. Kyle was really creative in getting the best price possible to help me afford this 'next level' car. He was very patient and helpful not only in the buying process but also explaining different features & in setting-up the functions of this model. Kyle's excellent service will keep me coming back in the future! Thank YOU, KYLE!! .......DS Tulsa, OK

This review is for both the service department and sales. I recently moved to the Tulsa area and had a noise in my XC90. I prefer to service it at the dealer and was glad that there was one nearby.Scheduling the appointment was simple and there were no issues getting in. The news wasn't good, but that isn't their fault (a previous repair was botched by another shop). They gave me my options and I decided to hold off on the repair, as I am considering trading it in on an XC60. The sales staff was very helpful even though they knew I was not going to be making a decision that day, and likely not for a couple months until I get settled in my new town. I will certainly return when the time is right to upgrade the vehicle (or repair it properly).

This is the remaining Volvo dealership in Tulsa and the service department leaves much to desired in terms of customer satisfaction. A "check engine" light required an unscheduled appointment at this dealership. Multiple calls to inquire about the status of my car went unanswered and now entering day #3 of the service ordeal for a 2012 Volvo C70 with 5600 miles on the odometer and under the factory warranty. My experience at Volvo of Tulsa creates serious concerns about owning a car when "the only show in town" can't provide quality service.
