Unrau Meat Processing

Will never use them again! Took an 800lb cow that had been grass & corn fed. Left with less than 200lbs of meat. Steaks very few! Only received 2 filet mignon, and they were tiny. Inexcusable!!

Had a half beef processed, they did a fantastic job. The meat was packaged well and delicious.

We have been raising and eating our own beef for over 20 yrs. We have used Unrau's because they are by far the best for most of that time. They've been in business since the 70's, but aside from this they are very customer service oriented and a family owned business. There are MANY variables that determine the amount of beef you come home with. The type of beef you are butchering, some breeds are more 'beefy' than others. The size and condition of your beef at the time of butchering. The type of cuts you choose and parts you don't want; ie liver, tongue, etc. The average beef breed should yield around 35-40% of live weight, but that is, as stated, also dependent upon cuts and what is discarded. If you choose a lot of boneless cuts, that reduces the yield. The only down side for me with Unrau's is that they don't shrink wrap, but the quality keeps us going back. Bottom line: I highly recommend the Unrau's Meat Processing.

We've used Unrau and so has several of our family members and they have always provided impeccable service. If you've been raising and having meats butchered for very long, then you know, the yield you get after butchering can vary greatly depending on type of animals and cuts you ask for. Boneless and large center cuts means a lot of trimming. If you are unsure of the yield you will get, ask the butcher.

we took in a1000 lb steer and received very much beef. we received more than 150 lbs of 90/10 hamburger meat , more than 15 tbone steaks as well as sirloin, round and ribeye steaks. we also received many packages of roast and stewmeat. altogether we received 666 lbs of deliocious beef. i woulkd recomend these meat cutters to anyone.i have lived in muskogee for more than 30 years and have never had any better beef.
