A long delayed date night saw us at Tokyo Garden in midtown Tulsa. My first adventure to a Japanese restaurant did not disappoint. The onion soup was an excellent appetizer on a cold night. We ordered shrimp Tempura as a shared course. It lived up to the description I had heard of Tempura shrimp made by Alton Brown. It was light, crispy and not at all greasy or gummy.I ordered the Sakura. It included filet mignon and chicken. The steak was very tender as it should be. The chicken was also tender and coated in the best tasting Asian sauce I have ever had on chicken. The noodles were also excellent and I ate all of mine (a rarity for me) The show was quite enjoyable and the atmosphere relaxed and cordial.I do highly recommend Tokyo Garden for a special date night or just a fun meal.

I was not as impressed this time. We were greeted and sat upon entering at the hibachi table. There was a weird odor in the area which was unpleasant. Minor things that made me change my stars. The salad says it's ginger dressing. Which I love and it wasn't. They discontinued the yum yum sauce which is a disappointment to me. The cooks presentation was fine but he did favorite one female individual over everyone else when giving food on her plate. ( hardly ate ). I would go back when in the area hoping for better

This place is the worst service. We sat and ordered. Chef came to table to cook and the manager seated 4 people as he was pouring our sauce. So he left and said he's be back. Waited over 45 minutes. The table next to us came in 12 minutes afterwards and have almost finished and we haven't began. Asked for the manager Cheyenne who said that's how they do things, they are understaffed and if I didn't like it I could leave. I will not return to any of their locations, though I have been a loyal customer for years. I understand the process but 45 minute wait after he had initially came to cook is unacceptable and I have no idea why they would seat new people to a table that had a chef there ready to go. Very poor management Go to Osaka or Shogun, it's always impeccable

Wanted to grab a bite on the road before heading to the hotel and this place hit the spot. Was solo dining so skipped the packed hibachi line and went into the open bar for table service. Was helped quickly with a drink and had the veggie tempura to start. Was well cooked veggies but was a thicker batter than I am accustomed to. The chicken and steak had great flavor while the noodles were a nice touch I normally do not see on the plates of other places. Will have to try the sushi next time. What I saw coming out of the kitchen looked tasty.

Food was delicious and service was great! The decor is older and could use an upgrade. I would go back again!!

I have always liked shoguns, but they seem to have gone downhill. So I decided to try Tokyo Garden as other others have recommended it. To me it's no different than shoguns, it was actually worse. It was just as dirty just as dingy and the food was actually not good at all. So much of it was tasteless and the shrimp tasted fishy like it was old. The noodles tasted like a glob of starchy pasta. I was super disappointed. Our server we had to ask for things over and over and over because he would forget them. The chef was a nice guy you could tell he was probably newer. He was making some goofy mistakes with his show, but that was OK. He was fun. Definitely won't be back. There's too many good places to eat in Tulsa to spend my money for subpar food.

Have been coming here for years and was disappointed. I have gotten the same chef 2 previous times and I should've gotten up and asked to be sat at a different table. He does not season any of the meat at ALL. Shrimp had no seasoning and neither did the steak. These pictures are from what was supposed to be "double" fried rice. He kept giving more food to people that he was talking to on the other side of us, and wouldn't even address us while he was cooking. Asked for the manager and the manager said she could give a merely 10% and not charge me for the double fried rice. Our server was great and was helping us the best he could, but I expect more when I'm being expected to pay $80 for 3 people. Just not how you get customers to come back.

Probably the WORST hibachi experience we've ever had! The man cooking our food was dreadful! You go expecting to be somewhat entertained, but sadly it was the exact opposite! The food wasn't really that great either. The only upside was the gentleman who took our order and brought us our drinks...he was on top of his game making sure we didn't go thirsty! As far as the atmosphere, it was very hot inside. Not worth the money or the drive there!!

Great food can't complain the shrimp tempura lacked some shrimp but no issues. Felt rushed the waterfall was a nice touch and food got out to us fast.
