The Yardbird

I have eaten here several times for lunch and dinner. It's a lively, casual atmosphere with excellent food and service. Last night we started with the Irish nachos, which are amazing and then moved on to the seared Ahi tuna served with a baked potato and salad and the flatiron steak with the same sides. Every item was cooked to perfection and served in a timely matter. A live band was playing and we had a great night with friends! Other times Joe will put an album on or pull out his guitar for an impromptu performance ! If you're really lucky some of his family might join him! This is a wonderful family owned restaurant with welcoming atmosphere and great menu choices.

I always enjoy coming here. You can't go wrong order the sliders. The daily specials have been a welcome change!

What can I say, I love some good chicken! Packed full of flavor with great diversity. Who knew you could do so much with chicken sandwiches and sliders. Our waiter was humorous and kept us in good spirits. The historic city makes its presence in the atmosphere of this downtown restaurant. Would definitely go again!

Joe does it again! The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich is amazing! We no longer need to go to Tulsa get a good Philly Cheese Steak, the Yard Bird has the best in the Tri-State Area hands down!

A little nostalgic paired with a lot of deliciousness. Today our table started with a seasonal special of fried squash paired with fried okra. So fresh and definitely hand battered for a perfect crisp. This place is well known for its limited offerings of tasty specials so of course I ordered the special, called The Wilbur. Its a sandwich served on toast and stacked high with hot links, pulled pork, fried bologna, and drizzled with a tangy bbq sauce. I paired the sandwich with the creamy yet slightly spicy skillet Mac for a home run combination. The meal was huge so plenty of leftovers to savor the tastiness again and enjoy more bang for my buck. As always the service was amazing, quick, and courteous. I frequent this place often for lunch and have always enjoyed the vintage feel complete with the record player spinning vinyls and filling the air with good music. My all time menu favorites at this local hot spot are the biscuit sliders and the skillet mac. The dirty bird is the best, but get the trio of biscuits and try one of each to find your own favorite flavor.

Awesome food, relaxing environment, and awesome staff. Joe and team make this a personal and fun experience. Best yardbird I've had.

Food is excellent, service is outstanding! The whole vibe of the place is great and the owner/staff are friendly and engaging. We eat here at least twice a week for lunch and supper. Can't go wrong with Joe's Yardbird!

The food was great even my daughter's corn dog. A little pricey but I feel like everything is these days. We tried to visit again the next time in town though and they were closed even though it was during posted hours.

Good local place have eaten lunch there several times plus tried their dinner offerings when they have had them and yummy!!! Don't let out of town reviews by someone who is mad decide for u, all businesses right now are struggling and I don't blame them for renting out to anyone who will pay, don't blame them for trying to cater to their customers, I eat at places that have signs, shirts, etc that I don't agree with but that's ok we can disagree and still support each other!! Support locally owned business!!

Stopped by for lunch on our way through town. This was fresh and delicious. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.
