The staff here were cool. Our waitress was a doll but the food wasn't great and we are visiting so we wanted to love it based on Yelp reviews. The kale Caesar wasn't a kale salad, not sure what greens were used, but it definitely wasn't any kale greens I know, I'm from the west coast. The dressing was so overpowering, I couldn't even eat it all. Too much salad dressing!Mac N Cheese was too spicy for our taste . Great portion and if you are cool with spicy stuff you will enjoy it. It's a great place, classy for sure but I will try it again and order different things.

It was time for a late lunch and the tavern seemed like a good option. Our server gave us good suggestions. I had the fish and chips which was a large piece of fish, very crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The dining room is well kept and comfortable. This is a good choice any time of day.

First time at the tavern for lunch. The food was just okay! I had the chicken fried steak and split the Mac and cheese. The presentation of the chicken fried steak was great but the overall taste was a little underwhelming, the meat was a little tough. But the mac and cheese was pretty good, a bit spicy but overall would definitely have the Mac and cheese again.

So nice I went twice...in one week. First up was brunch with my mom, which was excellent. Our server was so fun and super attentive. We shared the Bacon Popcorn (because duh). She got the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque, which she loved. I'm a bit of an Avocado Toast connoisseur, so I could resist. Theirs was delicious, and it was the perfect portion size. Next up was a pre-dinner drink and snack with my husband. The bartender recommended the Tikka Masala Hummus, and it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. So many flavors that work perfectly together. For cocktails, I got the Fall Forward, which was like a much better version of a margarita. And my husband got the Bacon-Infused Old Fashioned, which was killer! We've been before, and we'll be back!

A trip to Tulsa I ended up having lunch with business associates at The Tavern Nice place, very good food. Starters included a Deviled Eggs- 3 ways Bacon, Sriracha and Mustard. Sriracha was the best! We also chose the Angry Mac n Cheese to split - another great choice. This had a nice kick to it!I chose the French Dip w/Fries. One of the better French Dips I've had. I'm not a big fan of skinny fries but these were actually pretty good!My two business partners chose the Fish and the other was Chicken Fried Steak, both enjoyed their meal. Might have to return to try other items on the menu.

The tavern is always a safe bet for late night food and drinks when we are in the Tulsa Art District! The food is consistent and you have occasional new menu items. The deviled eggs are delicious, and at our last stop we tried the new Queso Birria which was very good! You can't go wrong with delicious birria meat on top of gooey cheese! The service is always great, prompt and efficient. Drinks are very good as well, we tried the Peach tree and Moonlight and both were tasty.For late night food, the Tavern burger is always a hit. It's half price every evening after 9pm!This restaurant is great for group hang out or for a date night, very cozy and comfortable.

The Tavern has a great downtown location which makes it easy to stop by when you're out and about. My favorite menu item is the deviled eggs appetizer. I am a fan of deviled eggs so maybe I'm biased but they were delicious! I also had the Tuna Poke which was salty. The bar is welcoming and enjoyable for drinks and appetizers if a bit pricey.

Service is always great here and I love the vibe and decor. They hands down absolutely have the best and most amazing kale Caesar salad. The dressing is so creamy. I literally would order this for my last meal (with a side of frites). Also a Bengali Gimlet. Love this place.

The fish and chips is my favorite here. It's crispy and flaky, with thin cut and crisp fries, and the tartar sauce is delicious and creamy! Also, the poutine is great- it's made with thick hash brown patties topped with shredded and tender beef and brown gravy with green chilies and cheese curd. The atmosphere is masculine with leather and books, but also romantic softer touches here and there. It's classy, yet comfortable. The bar is extensive, and the drinks are flavorful. Our server tonight was named Lucky, and he was the perfect blend of attentive, but not overbearing. My husband and I shared an appetizer, and each had an entreé, and a cocktail, and before tip, our bill was $90. Entreés range in variety and price, and I'm positive there's something for everyone.
