The Summit Restaurant

I can't believe that we've never had dinner here before! We love the bar but honestly had not heard great things about the restaurant. We wanted to leave a review because i'd hate for others to pass this place up! We had a fabulous dinner. I had the Summer Harvest dinner and added grilled salmon. It was perfection. My husband had the ribeye and said that it was great. Our friends had the Blackened salmon primavera and the lobster ravioli special and said they were both great. Loved the bread that they served with the meal. We will be back!

The atmosphere was interesting, and prestigious to say the least. This is a High Class restaurant, and it took me some time to figure out how to treat it as such. I've been to this restaurant multiple times, for family events. The one tiff I have with this establishment is their menu, there are less then 6ish Entrees to choose from. If you're a member, they will treat you with respect, and the service will be better then any other. However I have heard different things if your not. So I suppose it's all on perspective. But, all in all, it's a very nice restaurant.

Really wanted to love it here... I made reservations for 8pm. We were not sat until 8:40.... The owner came out to apologize and get us drinks around 8:20.... We did not receive our drinks until 8:55. Wow. The owner asked what the occasion was and my husband replied it was his birthday. We ordered the char grilled oysters and they were very small and dry dry dry. Then we ordered the mushroom caps and they were the star of the show. My husband ordered the 16oz steak and said it was sub par. He gave me a piece of it and it was grisly. I ordered the salmon over mash and cream sauce- the salmon was crusty and dry - as if it had been under a heating lamp for too long. Next time you make a visit to Shangri-La - get reservations for Docs outside area- it looked so cozy and if you have kids they have corn hole. In summation it was the worst service I've ever had.

Took my wife out for birthday. Great experience at the Summit. Ty he room is warm and big, but cozy and comfortable . Nice place for a special occasion or to impress clients or a special someone. First they had Buffalo Trace bourbon which is getting harder to find. I had Pork Tenderloin in a bed of mushroom hash. My wife had the Salmon. Both were well executed, fresh and delicious. Would order both again. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful with suggestions. I would recommend highly. Bill for two with tip $120

This restaurant will not allow you to sit by a window unless you are a member. Since there won't be any good view, why not go somewhere else to celebrate a special occasion? For the money, you will easily be able to find another nice restaurant with better ambiance, romance, and basic respect. Also, don't let allow them to push the Coconut cream pie. It's a cheap frozen pie. The rest of the food did not make up for the snobbery.

Love this restaurant. It's been fabulous every time we've visited from OKC. My filet was delicious. Hubby had Rib Eye! Fabulous. Crab Cake great. Pretzel charcuterie was fun! Service always so nice.

When it came to the food the appetizer (oysters) were over cooked and had the appearance of sitting under a heat lamp for some time. The steak was "ok", however had quite a bit of fat for what was to have been a "prime cut". The service however was the absolute worst I've ever had

We had a really nice meal. We were staying at the resort and spent our final evening here. Drinks were done well. Our server was pleasant. The food was great. My husband and our friends all ordered steaks, they all were very happy with them. I ordered the cauliflower steak and it was very flavorful and I appreciated the vegetarian option. The deserts were the only disappointing part of the meal. We ordered the brownie with mousse. It came straight from the fridge and was hard and difficult to eat. It would have been much better if it was warm.

Our reservation was never confirmed via phone like they said. Still got sat though. The French onion soup and the Nola shrimp were good. Ordered a Caesar salad and it got forgotten. When it came out the croutons were soft as could be and the lettuce was warm and wilted like it had been made and was sitting. The prime ribeye was nightmarishly fatty and one of the worst cooked, and seasoned, pieces of meat I've ever eaten anywhere. I've had better steaks on airplanes. The salmon in the salmon pasta was cooked to leather. The server only came by once or twice. We asked for a dessert menu and intended on ordering at least a couple deserts but the server just never returned so we finally said screw it and asked a hostess to get our bill. If this place was $20'a person, it'd be bad. For $60 an entree it's so terrible it's like a joke is being played on you.

The restaurant seemed to have enough staff to service the few parties that were there on a Thursday night however, our service was very poor. We had to flag waitress down each time we wanted to order next beverage or food item. This is a members only club unless you have played golf that day or are a hotel guest. Beware you will not receive the same treatment as the regulars. Food is average and overpriced for what you get. The view is fantastic but that's it.
