This is destination shop for cross stitch enthusiasts in the Tulsa, OK area. I've heard of this shop many times and had the opportunity to visit recently. It's big and bright inside and has an amazing selection of charts, fabric and threads. The shop features an enormous display of Mill Hill kits and models, and a large amount of Just Nan and Fern Ridge. There are large and small sampler models, and an extensive selection of charts from both well known and newer designers. I especially enjoyed the models for a type of needlework called knotwork and I found some older Prairie Schooler charts with original prices. The shop was busy and is apparently short staffed currently with the combination of online and phone orders and running the store, but I was greeted warmly and promptly. Definitely worth a visit!

Great for cross-stitch and counted work (as opposed to needlepoint). They carry a wide selection of ground fabrics of all colors and counts, as well as finer threads like flosses and pearl #8/#12 equivalents. The shop does not carry painted canvases, needlepoint patterns, or thicker wools or many filament silks.

I tried returning an item that was in it's original state. The manager was rude and she lied and bullied me. I will not be returning to this store ever again to buy anything.

Still a fave store! Have now been here many times but today was my first time to use the restroom while visiting. The room is filled to the ceiling with stitched samples from years past, which are fun to look at and also for sale at very reasonable prices.

A destination store. It's wonderful. Let me tell you how it is. I used to make up fake fun things to do in Tulsa (like go to the amusement park, or the zoo, which really is nice,) so the Other R would enjoy going to Tulsa, while his mom hit the needlework shops. Then, when he got too old, I'd drive to Tulsa myself, leaving at 5 a.m., and arriving at 9 a.m. Usually this would be for an odd item, like a Shepherd's Bush mat. I am working in Tulsa this week, and knew exactly where I'd go, without a doubt. It's been a couple of years, so I never put the Silver Needle's review on Yelp. I did continue to order from them, alot. Alot of my income goes to this store. This store carries all the well known designers, from the gorgeous Long Dog design samplers (she's a french designer, with fine beautiful samplers, very detailed), to my favorites; Bent Creek, Shepherd's Bush, Just Nan, and Olde Colonial Designs. There is an entire store section devoted to SB, and one could literally spend an hour in there trying to decide what to buy. Used to be...when my stash began to get low, to Tulsa I would bring myself, and home I would go with lot's of treasures. They are the first store I saw Vera Bradley at. I don't need to go to Tulsa for that, anymore, cause we have a store in Kansas City. This is one of the few stores in the United States, that carries the Shepherd's Bush hand painted mats. This store has Secret Needle Kits. They make their own pattern, and then kit them. It also has Camp Stitch Alot, which I've never had the pleasure of attending, but would love to.The staff is fantastic. To this day they are in great moods, and it's not cause my income goes to them, it's the energy. There's classes and a stitching area, and store events, for the lucky locals. If I lived in this area, I'd be at this store all the time. But I guess that would take the specialness out of it.

I've been a shopper at the Silver Needle from the first week it opened. All the ladies are knowledgeable and can answer every question, no matter how crazy it might be. Just Nan had her start there. Be sure to visit the bathroom, even if you don't need to "go", because that's where you'll find already stitched models for sale at really nice prices.

This shop has been my go-to since so many beautiful little shops have closed over the years. I live in IL and it's hard to find supplies, especially patterns, when the only stores around carry limited selections. SO thankful that this shop is online!! They always communicate when something specific is not available and they offer great ideas for alternatives. Love this shop!!

If I could lower rating I would. Owner is very rude! My wife signed up for a retreat, paid the deposit and we tried to move the deposit funds to an alternate date. We tried to explain our situation to the owner and she talked over me and was very rude. We do understand that this is your "policy" but there should be exceptions made to provide a good customer service experience. We made this request with plenty of time for the space to be filled. Beware of this snake and my recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere.

Had my 2nd visit of this shop. Last one was approximately 10 years ago. Knowing my first experience was less than stellar, as soon as we walked in, we were accosted with "What can we help you find? We are closing (in 30 mins)." We had just driven in from Texas and were aware we were cutting it close. Would've happily spent a lot more money if I hadn't been made to feel like an inconvenience. They might consider closing at 5:30 on Wednesdays if they have to walk out the door at 5:58 (they close at 6) to make it somewhere. Selection is beyond words, although I didn't seem to notice any silks in my haste, but customer service severely lacking.
