We've been wanting to go to this place for a long time, and finally we made it. We drove 1 hour and 20 minutes from Broken Arrow to the tiny town of Pawhuska which is in the middle of nowhere. We chose Monday morning assuming that was the least crowded time and we were right. The place was almost empty. Be aware that there was a street construction right front of Mercantile which makes very difficult to find a parking place. There's a City Parking lot across from Mercantile about 100 yard down the street. Exterior of the building is very old but the interior is meticulously designed and decorated. Everything is beautiful. Even the bathrooms. The best bathroom I have ever been to. Flowers everywhere, even though they are not fresh flowers but they are tastefully designed and arranged. Half of the place is a gift shop, selling her plates, cups, clothing etc. There are so many different kinds of cute salt and pepper shakers. Sorry I forgot to take pics. They are so cute! Food is very good, too. They give you a small portions of biscuits with butter and home made apple butter which was really good! My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs and meats (bacon, ham & sausage) and he loved it! I ordered a cup of tortilla soup and grilled cheese combo. Tortilla soup tasted really good, however, the soup wasn't hot enough to start with and they dropped a big dollop of cold sour cream in the soup that made my soup cold. So that takes 1 star off. Service was excellent. Everyone in this place was friendly. Upon reading other reviews, we rushed upstairs to the Bakery (good thing that they had an elevator) and bought a large sticky buns for $9 to take home. That was a disappointment. We would recommend anyone who loves sticky buns to go to Walmart and grab a box of Pecan Sticky Buns. (They are excellent)

My wife and I have been planning to make it here to Ree's Mercantile forever! Or, so it would seem, anyhow. And, we were definitely not disappointed.I planned to buy my wife lot's of goods at the general store but did not expect that I would walk out with several items for myself as well. The quality of the products, all reasonably priced and unique made it hard to stop grabbing stuff, honestly! The retail store is beautifully decirated and the family style restaurant is very nicely appointed providing a relaxing environment.I believe it is important to give credit to all of the staff because they are all smiles, friendly and well trained, looking forward to be of service. And then, the restaurant....Holy cow! Everything we tried was delicious with big flavors and, of course, Ree's little added trademark kick that is never overpowering but enough to make you perk up and pay attention. From the moist biscuits, to the tortilla soup and perfectly grilled steak which exhibited the kind of texture you only get from fresh and good quality meats, and then the tasty sides (the blistered beans are just amazing and the loaded baked potato was perfectly cooked and not grainy).Having tried Guy Fieri's cuisine on multiple occasions and considering he calls his cooking style "Flavortown", I'd have to say that Ree's cooking is Flavor City because the tastes are big and full, yet well balanced. The servings are plentiful too! We each had a tortilla soup and then, after sharing the huge steak, we struggled with our guilt but eventually caved and my wife ordered the Cowgirl Creme Brulee with the cappuccino (which, of course, I did not need much coaxing to agree to share a few bites.... Maybe more than a few...)We drove almost seven hours to maje our visit a reality and I can say confidently that it was worth every minute. So, I'd recommend to get here fast and then taje it slow because there's a lot to see and a lot to taste!

Pioneer Woman Mercantile: A Mixed BagI was excited to visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, driving an hour out of our way. The place is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is charming. However, the dining experience was a bit disappointing. Long Wait Times and Overly Sweet DessertsBe prepared for a long wait, especially during peak hours. While there are shops to explore, the wait can be frustrating. The desserts in the upstairs parlor looked incredible. We tried a variety, including a piña colada truffle, strawberry shortcake, and pecan pie. Unfortunately, the pecan pie was excessively sweet, to the point of being almost inedible. The other desserts were good but not exceptional.Disappointing SteakFor dinner, I ordered the steak, expecting a high-quality cut given the reputation of Oklahoma and Midwest meats. However, the excessive lemon sauce overwhelmed the natural flavor of the steak. While a light lemon marinade can enhance the flavor, this was too much.Overall ImpressionThe Pioneer Woman Mercantile offers a beautiful setting and some decent food, but it falls short in key areas. The long wait times and overly sweet desserts were major drawbacks. Given the high expectations associated with the Pioneer Woman brand, I was hoping for a more refined dining experience.

Ate at the p town pizza shop and it blew me away! The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't love the thick cut of the pepperoni pizza but that is a personal preference! The lemonade was to die for!

Tasty food with good portion sizes. Of our menu items, the standouts were the peach jam, buttermilk pancakes and smoked sausage. Everything else was tasty but not special. The space is well designed, modern country, without being overly themed or over done in any way. I didn't buy anything in the retail area but was sorely tempted. That's a sign of really good selection (and of excellent personal will-power). We went for breakfast, arriving at 8:30 and didn't have a wait.

A must do for anyone eating in the area. The recipes and food prep are a cut above. Our server Robbie was fantastic in every respect. The spinach dip was enough for a family of five. They are not kidding when they say the grilled cheese is the best you will ever have. The pancakes are huge and come with a variety of butters and syrup. The restoration of the building is remarkable and commendable.

We went for breakfast and thought we'd also have an early dinner before driving out of town. We never got hungry though after eating the breakfast. I even gave part of my French toast combo to my husband and took one of the French Toast slices home. I also ordered the specialty iced coffee. So delicious! Then we shopped for cute things in the store and went upstairs to the bakery although we were still too full to choose any sweets. Although if I had room I would have chosen the creme brulee
