The Moon Sushi Bar & Asian Bistro

I had an awesome experience at Moon. I'd heard of this sushi spot for a while, but I like raw sushi and it feels kind of off to eat that in a land locked state. I met up with a group of friends for Art Walk and we decided to have dinner there after, totally forgetting that it was Valentine's Day and there were 7 of us. Needless to say the place was packed. Despite closing at 9:00pm they seated us at 8:25 and continuously apologized for the wait (as if they could do anything about that). I ordered hot green tea, the Hercules Roll and a Seaweed Salad. Our waiter had the best sense of humor and wouldn't even charge me for the tea because they were running out of stuff and gave me Jasmine tea instead of Green tea (Honestly, I hadn't even noticed. I was just happy to sit and drink something warm). I noticed the staff was white, but they still make pretty good sushi (and yes the sashimi and raw stuff was fresh). The ambiance was really cool and the playlist was killing it.

The rice i got was delicious and they hooked me up with some extras, love this place.

We ordered 5 rolls and they were all DELICIOUS! We came at lunch on a saturday and we were the only guests when we came, but a few others rolled as we finished our lunch. The service was great and it's nice that it's right on main street! We'll be back whenever we're in Norman!

Came here on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty. Service was great! We ordered the calamari, it was in stick form which was really good. The rolls also were delicious and all the food came out really fast. The decor was cute and I liked how dark it was inside. Definitely a great spot to go in Norman if you want some good sushi!

This place is fun, eclectic, and delicious! The fish is fresh and large amount. Ordered a rock n roll and the sushi placed on top was large and so fresh!The happy house app specials were perfect for the pocket book and mouth watering!It's not what you expect for ambiance. A picture of Snoop Dog hangs over the chiefs, which is reason enough to dine here.

The sushi is really fresh and yummy. I had the psycha d roll. The service was excellent! I went on my lunch break. The waiter asked if I was on my lunch break and said that he could bring the check early. That was very considerate! They were super busy and he had a lot of tables, but he still took the time to show me a few things on the menu since I had never been there before. The ambiance was very stylish. I especially liked the plaque as you walk in. Very inviting!

I and my daughter came in for the Happy Hour special​s on a cloudy Saturday in November and were instantly greeted upon entering and happily being told to find a seat. Upon sitting we were served lightly seasoned edamame as a "snack" by the wonderful server named Lauren. She took our drinks order and left us to decide what we wanted to order. We ordered the Chicken Gyoza and Tamago Nigiri. ​​​​​​Both dishes were so delicious and well seasoned. After we received our order she told us about a new dish that the cook had come up with the night before, a Honey Teryaki Siracha Chicken Skewer with a side of sushi rice served on a bed of greens and asked if we would like to try a serving. Curious I said yes and found it Delightful! The honey was a nice compliment to the teryaki and the siracha added a pleasant heat that was almost an afterthought. I will definitely be back here for another meal. The prices were extremely reasonable compared to other sushi bars that I have tried​. I loved the atmosphere as well, ​the music was the perfect volume to not only enjoy it's ambiance while still being able to have a good normal to​​​​ned conversation with my daughter. The 3 flat screen TVs played different movies for different people, One played anime, while a second played Disney movies and the third played o​ld Westerns. ​All of the screens were Closed Captioned so that you could follow along with what the shows were saying without being intrusive on the music and conversations. Honestly, a more delightful experience I could not have asked for. This restaurant is well worth the money for the food that is delicious in every way and well satisfying to the palette and stomach. We recently visited the moon sushi bar, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the server was a lot of fun, making the dining experience enjoyable.The fried calamari was a disappointment.the texture just wasn't right--definitely not something we'd order again. Unfortunately, I ended up with a stomach ache later.On a brighter note, the steamed pork buns were the highlight of our meal. They were soft, flavorful, and easily our favorite dish of the night. The sushi was okay--nothing particularly memorable, but it wasn't bad either.While we appreciated some aspects of our visit, we probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Very good sushi! I went during happy hour and got some chicken gyozas, avocado roll, and ahi shake roll! Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that I wish the avocado roll came with cream cheese.
