The Monastery at Forest Lake

We celebrated our 25-year anniversary here in late May. The weather was incredible, the room was quaint, and the extras were endless. When it was cloudy, we went on a treck around the pond. (Bring bug spray and check for ticks) The natural landscaping was intoxicating with honeysuckle as far as you could see with cute little eccentric touches throughout the property.We planned our days with swimming, fishing, napping, and dinner, too. Jamil's Steak House was wonderful and recommended by our hosts. We ate off site a couple of times, but we enjoyed brunch with our host, Heather, the most in the common area.The fishing was eventful with about 12 snags of different kinds, blue gill, perch, big mouth bass, and crappie. The husband smiled ear-to-ear on the dock, pulling one out right after another.The Cottage came fully equipped, and the bed was super soft! We came to relax and that is just the prescription we received!Oh yeah! The ground pets, Larry, his brother Darrell and his other brother Darrell were a great comical team!

After the stress of planning a wedding, a getaway here was just what we needed. The place is so peaceful and beautiful it's hard not to feel 100% relaxed while you're there. Breakfast was so great and homemade. The pool and hot tub were also really nice, both were open 24/7. We also went out on the paddle boat and it was a lot of fun! And if you love plants and gardening, you will be in paradise. This is the perfect place if you want it to feel like a get away of "just you two". But it's also really well connected, just a 10-15 minute drive to downtown OKC. We will definitely return for future anniversaries! Reese and Andi Ralls

The Monastery at Forest Lake is a great place for a weekend getaway or a small wedding. The staff is friendly and attentive. The beautiful venue is also affordable.

My husband and I stayed overnight while driving cross country. The home is just lovely and well situated right on the waterfront. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. There is lovely heated pool and spa on the property as well. Matt was extremely helpful during our stay and accommodating in serving us breakfast earlier than usual so we could get on the road. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Would come back in a heartbeat!

The Monastery at Forest Lake is the perfect venue for a small wedding. It is charming, the staff is always happy to help and the grounds are beautiful. The bed and breakfast rooms are great for a weekend get away.

Great!!! Bed and Breakfast. Wonderful owners very personal and pay attention to details. Their breakfast is great too!! I've had the biscuits and gravy, their scrambled and they even have lighter breakfast options for those who are healthier than me ;)
