I haven't been living here longer than 6 months and the staff has been nothing but rude, incompetent, unhelpful, and it's clear none of them want to be working here (they make it very obvious they don't want to do their jobs). The apartments are okay and so are the amenities but I will be moving out as quick as I can, very careless overall do not recommend.

Complex is alright, generic apartments with decent kept grounds. The issues I have began with the lack of knowledge of company policies that my leasing agent had, she informed me of the information required to have my pet in the home. Upon move in I was informed of a completely different set of requirements that "all of the sudden" were required. I also received issues when trying to get anything fixed in my apartment. The biggest issue I have with the apartment complex is how bad the management and front staff are. For a suppose to be "upstanding community" the manager was sitting on his fat ass watching football with a group of other people in the middle of the day in the main entrance, rather than doing his job. This issue mostly stems from the conversation that I have had with multiple apartment complexes pertaining to payment and the fact that I am a student. I informed the front office that due to my student loans being delayed for school, I would not be able to pay until later this month, rather than at the beginning of the month. I was informed by the leasing agent, who had no idea the policies again, that she did not know but was pretty sure they did not allow that. She then walked over to the "community director" who was the fat ass on his fat ass watching football, and he also just stated that it had to paid on time. 2 days after rent was due I was served with a notice from the office that I was to be evicted 5 days after the date of this notice being served if my rent was not paid up for being late by 2 DAYS. It is clear that The Links at Stillwater is clearly horribly ran, does not care for the tenants, will not be getting my service after my lease, only cares about making money, and will not be suggested to anyone other than to suggest it be put in a pool for worst apartments in town, right next to Aspen Heights.

Below freezing temperatures and after 6pm our water heater starts leaking, called and put in a maintenance request and had help within 15 minutes!! Thanks Dean and entire maintenance crew, got us back to our lives and we didn't have to take time off from work to replace it. That's why we love to rent from The Links in Stillwater!!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!The apartment above me had a leak in a pipe. They came into my apartment with no advance and started cutting holes in my bedroom wall. This was unexceptable, considering I work remotely and constantly have zoom meetings. My bedroom was a construction zone for 4 days, where I was not able to stay in it. The reason it took so long was because they wouldn't come in to repair it untill noon everyday and would leave at 3:00pm. There was dust over all of my clothes, bed, and anything else that was in my room and closet. They did not try to find me a place to stay or clean up their mess. I had to do loads and loads of laundry to clean the clothes and bedding that got dirty. Which in turn costs me money in utilities.I also had black mold in my window seals... this took them over 3 business days to come and get ride of it, still only getting one area of mold and leaving the rest to me to clean. This is a health and safety hazard.Plus the garbage disposal has already stopped working twice and I have only lived here for 6 months. Also, I got in trouble for dog sitting, so don't do that if you live here.

NO RESIDENT PARKING. When living next to the golf course, golfers take our spots in the front all of the time so we have to park blocks and blocks away. this is just a wild concept to me since I pay way more than any of these golfers do.

This place is just straight up awful. They tried to auto renew my lease without me asking and said it was my fault for not telling them that I was vacating, when in fact my lease was only for 1 year no matter what. Then they used the same reasoning to keep my $350 deposit and refuse to give it back. Golf course is in terrible shape and the place has horrible upkeep. Do not live here under any circumstance.

Never in my years of apartment living in Stillwater have I been so appalled in every way by the "service" of a complex. After living at the Links for nearly a full year, I do not have a single positive experience to share aside from the gentleman working in the golf shop. The most recent incident has been the last straw. After coming home from work (and them having given residents a very loose window as to when they would be coming around doing window repairs), I came home to find my curtain rod broken and hanging off my bedroom window, somebody had used the toilet and not flushed it (and it had obviously been a male), my brand new office desk was bent and broken in multiple places, and my delicate, old PC was not working as it had been prior to that point despite my efforts to restore it.This experience after nothing but negative ones was the final straw. DO NOT live at the Links, or if you do and have nowhere else to go, make sure you, a friend, or family member is present to supervise the negligent staff any time they are set to enter your apartment (and make sure you are given a precise time frame). Every aspect of this from the damage to the filth left in their wake is unacceptable.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CRIMINALS! We applied for an apartment in early June 2021. We paid a $30 application fee and a $250 deposit. There wasn't an apartment available, so we were put on a waitlist. In early July, they claimed they called us to let us know that an apartment was available, but there was no missed call on my son's cell phone from the Stillwater area code. They had my email on file on his application and they sent one email on July 7, 2021 notifying us an apartment was available. I was camping and had no internet access or cell service. When I gained internet access again on July 9th, I immediately checked my email and told my son to call them back ASAP. He did. They told him since he hadn't returned their phone call within 24 hours, they moved on to the next person and the apartment was not available. We were bummed, but we understood that we had missed it. I called a few days later and asked about the security deposit. I was told by a person in the office that we would get it credited back to our account within 30 days. I never got it and in early September, my son received a letter from The Links that our deposit had been forfeited. I assumed it was an error since we had never once set foot in one of their apartments, so obviously we could do no damage to one of their apartments. I called The Links and was told that we would not receive our deposit back because they had called my son SEVERAL TIMES (they are FLAT OUT LYING) and they had emailed us SEVERAL TIMES (they emailed me once). I just kept saying that they were stealing our money. WE LITERALLY NEVER ONCE SET FOOT IN THEIR APARTMENT COMPLEX AND THEY STOLE $250 FROM US!!!!). I went back and pulled up the document my son signed to apply for the apartment and it does in fact say, "The security deposit will be retained if the applicant is notified of approval and fails to sign the contemplated Apartment Lease Contract within 24 hours of having received notification of approval". So if you are desperate enough to lease an apartment from criminals that steal money, make sure you call them or email them back immediately upon notification of apartment approval. Better yet, call them daily when you are on the waitlist because they may lie to you and say they called you when they didn't (as they did to us).

Great golfing experience and a solid apartment complex to go with it. And not to mention the pool and gym are nice amenities as well!

***PARENTS AND STUDENTS BEWARE!!!***This apartment complex is out to take advantage of students! My son was told that he had to fill out an application just to view an apartment. When he questioned about the $250 hold fee on the application he was told that he would not be charged that unless he saw something he liked and wanted to be put on a wait list for the unit. When he went to view the units they did not have what he was looking for nor were they able to accommodate his requested move in date. He was again assured that he would not be charged the $250 fee. Well guess what? Two days later the money was drafted from his bank account. He called the office and spoke to the same young lady who on more than one occasion assured him he would not be charged only to have her recant her whole story and dismissed it as a miscommunication. These people are not honest and have no integrity! Whoever heard of having to fill out an application just to view an apartment???
