The Jalapeno Grill

Stopped in during a car show held on the main street. Super hot day. Went in for lunch and to cool down. Was greeted by the friendliest people who I assume are the owners and sat right away. The restaurant was packed this day due to the car show. We went thru the menu and put in our order. They provided homemade salsa and chips and had $2 margaritas. The food portion was good for the price and enough to pack leftovers home.

Food came out sizzling hot. Great flavor. The margaritas tasted so good and a great size for the price. The service was great. Great waitress. Lots of decorations all over the walls

FoodThe fajita burrito is okay at best. Putting lettuce in the burrito causes it to be soggy from the heat of the chicken. The burrito is full of beans and not much chicken. The chicken is okay. Jalapeño grill is always a delicious place to dine! The lunch menu is a great way to sample the menu! A hamburger with Spanish fries is a must try!

The food is hot, fresh, well prepared, looks good on the plate and the servings are large. The restaurant is clean, attractive inside and the service is fantastic. The authentic Mexican food served at El Jalapeno Grill is a very bland, lightly seasoned version. It tastes fine; it is just not seasoned to the level I enjoy. Very mild tomato salsa, very little heat in the salsa picante. The beef in the enchilada and taco seemed unseasoned. Neither was lacking in beef; both were generously filled. The chili on the enchilada was the exception to the absence of seasoning. If you order a sauce on something order the chili. The restaurant's style of relleno was stuffed with yellow cheese, battered and fried to a nice crispy crunch. On its own it was very good. But the bland tomato ranchero sauce didn't offer any flavor. The salsa couldn't help either. If you order the relleno get queso or the chili on top. If you prefer very mildly seasoned Mexican food this may be your 5-star restaurant.

I love going to this place to eat. their food is so good. not sure if it's the owner or manager or both but he walks around and chats with people. He has even been our server. he is a very welcoming man. The ambience is a Mexican feel. there is a Wishingwell that we have to stop at for my granddaughters. The prices are within a good the portion sizes are large. we almost always have leftovers. If you like Mexican food, this is a great place to go. The Hair is parking on the street and a parking lot behind the restaurant.

The absolute most bland Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life. Tasted like water with a hint of salt. Had the "traditional Mexican burrito," it was absolutely awful. I will never waste my money at this place ever again. 0/10 wouldn't recommend.

Food is good service is great and if your lucky you get there before 5pm and do not have the wait. Nice atmosphere.

Always good food and service, recommend, better than most places in Collinsville, margaritas are okay

The food was enjoyable. More was on my plate then I could eat. The leftovers were even more tasty two days later.
