The Fur Shop

This place has really grown on me since it opened. It's still overpriced on some things, and the service is still abysmally slow when it's busy, and I'm still not a big fan of super loud live music in small bar spaces...BUT:They don't have music and/or a cover all that often (at least I don't run into it that often).Sometimes they have cool fun events... the 90s party was awesome!Way cool outdoor space with grass and a stage.I LOVE that they are embracing the OK local/craft beer movement, with weekly LOCAL pint nights (I'm capitalizing that because it's an acronym, not because I'm a weirdo, definitely look it up) and a great tap list.For some reason I just really like the atmosphere. It feels like you're at someone's grungy house, which I'm totally into.Also we live in the Gunboat so it's on our way home from all the other downtown bars, and therefore a nice place to stop and have one more beer if the thought of walking home from McNellie's et al seems too daunting otherwise.

Such a cool vibe!! Really nice people, fire pits in the back, live music inside. Some of the best drinks I've had! Strong and good! I had a pink starburst shot, and then a coke and rum. Friends had cherry bombs that looked amazing, and Red Bull with vodka. Friends dog ran around in the back and played with all the people chillin. Very fun and friendly atmosphere. Totally going back!

If you're looking for a "neighborhood bar" kinda feel in the downtown area, Fur Shop is your joint! The facility is pretty big and they sometimes they host events upstairs The outdoor patio is very large and has nice views of downtown. Drinks are good and reasonably priced and the bar staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. It verges on "divey" but you can still get upscale cocktails here if that's your poison. Regional musicians and DJs play regularly throughout the week. Come with friends or solo to make new friends.

The bartender was incredibly rude to us. We were out celebrating my moms birthday and having a great time. We have been here before and enjoyed it so we came back. Unfortunately, the bartender was to say the least the most unpleasant person I have ever met and made the entire experience one we will never forget.IF YOU ARE TRYING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! WITHOUT GETTING TOO MUCH IN TO DETAIL THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN PLAYS A HUGE ROLE ON THE SERVICE YOU WILL RECEIVE.

First time? Great fun! New to town? Mylo is one of the bartenders who will take good care of you. Now to the real report: Don't become a "regular"! Management is unprofessional and uses the bar as a personal sandbox. If you have a backbone or any self respect, this bar isn't for you. As a former regular to this inclusive LGBTQ establishment, it is sad news when you can't be who you are - and that includes not allowing yourself to be harassed by mgmt, ambushed by negative, angry and aggressive types who use their role (or their ever changing moods, hurricane style) in the bar as a way to "punish" those who do not agree with them or to be "banned" for not kissing up. We are all grown ups! ***There are many fun bars all around town that appreciate their customers without any judgement or intimidation - spend your $$$ wisely***

The building is cool. Drinks are cheap. And I was enjoying myself until they kicked me out for no reason. These are type of people that want you be tolerant and accepting of them but don't seem to reciprocate. Typical hypocrisy and big fish in a small pond attitude from the ownership. In a bigger city this place would get crushed. You can't do people dirty and last. Karma is a ..... well... you know.

This place fucking sucks. Patrons and bartenders are so rude and the antithesis of punk rock

Terrible service. The bartender couldn't even tell what year I was born. Then we come for open mic night and get scolded for playing guitar. Terrible bar. Bartender seemed like she was on something as well.

We received the worst service here. The bartender was extremely rude. Wont be going back.
