The Fresh Market

Update: Sad to report I've been unable to get back to this lovely store. However hubby has shopped w/o me several times -- does this then count as entertainment also? LOL. I can testify he buys products on his procurement adventures that are awesome. I want to recommend Key Lime Pound Cake. For Real; we sat down and ate the whole loaf. Great stuff. Different, varied and really nice staff.

Update: it's been 9 years since I wrote my last update and we still love this place. Great butcher shop and produce. The cheese shop always has what I need. On the website, the recipes are easy to follow. If you shop the sales correctly, even cheaper than Walmart grocery. I'm very happy with fresh market and I'll be a customer here for life.

Outstanding service! I absolutely love the meats counter. Having a butcher who appreciates a customer is a rarity. Kevin is always eager to wrap up my selections no matter how busy he is. Kevin, thank you!

Lovely master has lots of babies and h a RE to find items. I'll shop here for nice holidays goods b cause it's a special place for that. Pricey but again it's not a place I can afford daily: however they have special days where chicken is available 3.99/lbThe nicest staff, lovely plants and flowers and the most decadent chocolate aisle :) great place

The Fresh Market is a little more expensive than Reasors. It's a smaller store and it's often quicker to run in there and grab what we need. There's probably some things they have that are better than what average grocery stores, but we just shop there when we're in a hurry

I love this store. It's convenient, well stocked, fairly priced and the employees seem to enjoy their work. I still have to buy paper products, dog food & bird seed at the discount joint a mile east - but if it goes down my throat, I'm going to buy it from Fresh Market.

Moldy olive barMoldy cheddar Moldy Swiss It's very clear fresh foods do not get inspected or rotated. It'll probably be much easier to find not moldy food for cheaper elsewhere. When I asked for help figuring out a price on some (non-moldy) cheese I was acknowledged and then completely ignored. I won't be returning.

FM had USDA Choice whole filet mignon on sale for $11.98 for a full week. I tried to buy it 4 (FOUR) different times. The response is "we will have it after our next supply truck" but they never had it when I checked. THIS COULD BE A GREAT STORE if they had ethics but like many stores it seems like their only priority is making more money for their wealthy owners at the expense of their customers. How can you trust ANYTHING they say when they operate in this manner?

Love the Tuesday ground chuck and chicken sale, bakery cookies, produce etc. love it!

I just love this store. The moment you walk in you just want to stroll through and fill your basket. They have great produce (only place I can ever find figs), amazing cheeses and deli items, and meats. As you move through the store you find extra special things for your dinner, entertaining, or just everyday eating. The bakery. Oh my! Amazing. And the wines! Again, oh my! They have excellent ready made meals for 2 or more people and they are TASTY. It's such a beautiful store and I always find what I need and more. Oh, and did I mention there's calm, lovely music? And there's such great help from the staff? Love this store. So special!
