The Comic Empire

I visited Comic Empire years ago in Tulsa,Oklahoma. Also I bought some comic books from the Comic Empires booth table at a Tulsa Wizard World Comic Con. I just recently within the last couple of years got back into buying and reading comic books. The owner knows his comic books and is helpful even to the little guy not just the big spender. I highly recommend that you check this shop out. There is new and old items. Bring cash and there is a public shared parking lot.

One of the oldest comic stores around. Owner was super friendly and helpful. Huge selection of comics. Great store for looking at back issues and readers but condition varies as good portion of back issues are boxed and squeezed together without backing boards. It gets 3 stars as the back issues I wanted were not of great quality and the prices did not reflect this

Just like a previous reviewer said, do not let the exterior scare you away, this store has a great collection of back issues and super reasonable prices. The store owner is fantastic and very knowledgeable about old and new comics. Do no hesitate to ask him where something is because if he doesn't know, he will hunt it down for you. For me, the back issues alone make this a five star. The owner's friendliness and knowledge would have made it a six, if possible.

If you love comic books this place is like going to church. The selection of back issues is amazing. You find boxes upon boxes crammed into the little store. In addition the shop is well supplied with current issues. However the thing that makes this store a 5 star experience and not a 3 star experience is the owners willingness to help customers find what they are looking for without it feeling like a high pressure sales pitch. Simply put if you love talking comics this is the place for you.

The best comic book store in Tulsa, OK. Mike is a great guy, very knowledgeable and friendly. He always give discount to new customers. Go check his store out, well worth your time.

I believe it is the oldest comic book store in Tulsa and the owner is great, very knowledgeable and loves to discuss comics and characters and movies with customers. Pretty good new comics selection, trade paperbacks, TONS of back issues and great sales. If you collect comics and haven't been to the comic Empire then what are you doing?
