All the little starters are great! Salsas, chips and flour tortillas are fresh and yummy Tortilla soup was excellent!! And it's botttomless!!! Fajita meat was tasty but the chicken is different flavor than we are used to .. service was prompt at the bar and we loved the atmosphere. Started filling up by 5 pm on a Friday!!

Terrible experience. I've been going to Ted's in the city since I was a kid. When my family flew back to OK to visit our folks here, I was excited when I realized a new Ted's had opened close to where we were staying. Just so disappointing. First the place. It's like eating in a late 80s-era Wendy's. Just open seating throughout. You can hear everything and it's all extremely loud. Literally cannot have a conversation with people next to you loud. It's sterile and empty and just sad.The staff were terrible. I think they may be training? I hope. They honestly had no idea what they were doing. Our waitress took our drink order then disappeared for 10min while some chips and salsa came... nothing to drink for so long!!! Everyone was just looking for her as we were all so thirsty after handfuls of chips... thinking, well, drinks are about to be here right? No. I had to waive her down at the bar. She had just forgotten to get them. She had them rushed over by someone who just kept asking who had what? It was 4 waters, 1 coke, and 1 sweet tea. Pretty simple arithmetic...Okay, now the food. Low quality. That simple. Really just bottom-tier flavor and low quality of ingredients. The rice was sad and flavorless, the refried beans were chunky, flavorless, and had a thick crusty dried skin crunched up all over it, like they had scraped these serving off the sides of a very old pot of forgotten beans.The burritos were okay, but no one wanted to finish their food... just a waste. Not good. Oh, and my wife bought fajitas. They were not only not sizzling, they had no scent, no flavor, nothing. They were just sorta warm? Weird. I've never seen such a failure on fajitas at any restaurant.Still the server just left us. No visits, waters empty, chips out, just on our own. And the place was like 2/3 empty with 6-7 servers just hovering around the bar and going in and out of the kitchen with nothing in their hands.Oh, and to top it off, I had to pay at a filthy, queso smeared iPad knock-off in the middle of the table. Literally never saw the waitress again until we were about to leave and she rushed over to ask us if we wanted our sopapillas. Okay, in a box... got to wait another 6min... fun.Okay, so that was a lot. Let's just say this was a very bad experience and I'd suggest going to a different Ted's in you want to go to one.TL;DR: Terrible experience. Do not go to this one.

Ted's Café Escondido's quality of food, excellent service and the nice modern dining environment make it difficult to give the restaurant anything less than five stars. Ted's does a great job in providing a pleasurable dining experience. I can see why many like it. The restaurant is not one of my favorites, simply because of how their version of Mexican food is seasoned. Tomato sauce, that's it, too much tomato sauce. I prefer more red chili pepper.The beef in my wife's taco salad was tender, flavorful, delicious, and lots of it. I had the Mexican Flag Enchiladas served on a hot plate. One beef with verde sauce, one chicken with queso and one cheese with red sauce. The chicken was braised in tomato sauce, and the cheese enchilada was covered in a tomato based red sauce. Quality food on a hot plate; just not the flavors I prefer. Great beans and rice.The chips and salsas are excellent. The service we had from Luis was flawless.

Once again, the food and service was good but the people bussing the tables are clearing and cleaning with bare hands and then putting plates and silverware back on the table with those same, dirty hands.

Local TexMex establishment in Tulsa. I believe they have two locations. The food was good, salsa was my favorite for sure. Next time I will most likely stick with guac and salsa, if we go back. The staff was great accommodating our large group.... When I say large.... 2 High School soccer teams... so yes... large. There was plenty of seating and the servers kept the water flowing and chips full, that is a feat in itself. The food looked good but sadly for this celiac girl I did lot feel safe eating here. The menu was not marked which is an initial red flag for anyone with food allergies. When I asked our server if they could do a steak nacho gluten free she said they would need to sub the chips.... My eyes kinda went big and she noticed..... I had been eating the chips from the basket at our table!!! When I asked why they were not gluten free she said they were made with white corn. If you have celiac.... Then you know.... So she kindly switched our chips and my husband went to the car so I could get ahead of any reaction that was imminent. I removed a star mainly for the awareness to common food allergies not being labeled on their menu, this in my opinion is a must for restaurants! Otherwise the servers were wonderful, kind and caring to our group when they could have been impatient and short tempered. Serving that many teenagers is tough work!

We were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. Our wait staff person was friendly and took our drink orders immediately upon us being seated. The restaurant was clean and brand new. We had been referred by friends and we were so glad we came.The set up was awesome, our main entrees were hot, fresh and delicious. We recommend Ted's!
