Formal herb garden.
This archway leads to the vegetable and herb gardens.
The pond is beautiful and looks like it has been here for years and years.
Chives in bloom.
There are a number of water features in the garden. I love this more formal approach.
Linnaeus stands at the entrance and greets all visitors.
Very formally edged thyme, marjoram, and oregano garden.

Linnaeus Teaching Garden is truly a grass roots effort, no pun intended. It was built with donated money, supplies, and labor and is staffed by volunteers. It is free to the public.Every time we go we come away with another idea. (My MiL was super excited to visit because she had read about it in Southern Living.)The garden is about 14 years old but every effort is made to keep it fresh and vital. I love visiting here during all seasons. During the winter, you can peruse the succulents in the small green house and the pond is always an interesting feature. My pictures are from the summer.I always get some great ideas for my own garden here. I can't tell you how beautiful this garden is and how helpful the volunteers are. They are eager to share their knowledge and expound on the beauty of this Tulsa treasure.

Located within Woodward Park and is free! Nicely maintained garden space than has flowers and veggies according to season. Ponds with waterfalls and stream. There are huge coi you can see well, when standing on the bridge. I think there are hundreds of varieties of flowers and veggies. There is a green house with cacti and other plants. There are several seating areas, including covered seating areas. I love the water feature to the side of the welcome center, you must relax there. There are a variety of orchids toward the back of the area. They have many events and programs. There are many volunteer opportunities. I love the seating area behind the entry wall, there is a walkway around far side of the garden and down to the building, as well as directly through the wall at the entry. That is a perfect place for a quiet lunch or chat with a friend. Perfect oasis in mid-town.

Linnaeus is a hidden cove of beauty in Tulsa! The gardens are a nice reprieve from the city. It is a quiet, well landscaped area. They have a patio area overlooking some of the gardens with several small tables for two. They also host a FREE weekly, themed storytime for kiddos in the summer & fall with activities that are just precious! (1 hour with a story, singing, & craft or fun learning activity.)
