Tried it once and been back about 3 times... never had ramen this good. Don't think you could order wrong here. Be prepared to wait for a table if you are at the downtown OKC location. Once you order it doesn't take too long to get your food and it will be hot and large portion size!Downtown OKC location is really hip and cozy inside but small

If you enjoy ramen, you'll undoubtedly enjoy Tamashii. I've visited the Midtown and Edmond locations, and both are different. The downtown location is dark and crowded with a hole-in-the-wall feel, while Edmond is more modern and upscale. The important thing is both have great ramen and outstanding service. What's funny is that - unlike pho, khao soi, and other Asian noodle dishes - traditional ramen really fills me up. I love it, but I feel it in my gut the rest of the day. So on my most recent visit, I decided to try the mazemen. OH. MY. GOSH! It is amazing. Be sure to get the egg mixed in. The noodles are thicker than regular ramen, and they are sauced so well. The portion is large enough to fill up and have a decent amount left for lunch the next day. The flavor is wonderful. I will probably add corn the next time. As mentioned previously, service is always great. Ramsey served us this last visit, and I credit him for recommending the egg.

I absolutely love Tamashii! I get ramen at least every couple months if I'm in the downtown area and it is always delicious! Only downside is if you come with a party- all members must be there to be seated and they don't take reservations! I have tried all the ramen flavors and my favorite is the classic Tonkatsu ramen. You cannot go wrong with it!! The flavors are perfect, and I alternate between Shio and Shoyu because I always forget what I ordered last, lol. My least favorite is the curry ramen, but mainly because I already make a mean Japanese curry and I'm used to it being on rice instead of noodles! My husband likes this one though! If you're craving authentic ramen, this (and Goro) are the places to go!

Our go to ramen spot in OKC!! Their spicy ramen and Tonkotsu ramen are fan favorites. Their jasmine tea and gyoza are a perfect pairing for a pre dinner snack. Be sure to sit at the bar for an authentic ramen bar feel!

Holy cow. This place is delicious. Parking is not great, but it's worth dealing with parking to eat here. The shoshito peppers are a must. The spicy ramen is just spicy enough. And the drinks are perfect. I had a sake-tini with pear sake. So good. Our group was seated pretty quickly, but I could tell we were lucky in our timing as by the time we left there was a huge wait. Check this place out!

Adding an additional review where I got their butter corn ramen, curry with karaage, pan fried rice and shishito peppers. Prompt and attentive service and the interior atmosphere will always be cool. Recommended and I want to try out their new spot in Norman!

Get here early. We happen to be driving in from Dallas and walked in. We were lucky enough to grab 3 patio bar seats. Otherwise indoor seating was packed and there was quite a wait for a table. The bonus about sitting on the patio is that there was a heater above us so we were nice and toasty (it was a bit of a chilly day, 50deg) Even tho the host said that the noodle maker was on the Fritz, we got our ramen pretty quickly. Butter miso corn broth was milky and full of flavor. We loved searching the soup to find corn, scallion, and sliced bamboo. The best part was the noodle. It had a bite to it and paired with the silky broth, you just kept wanting another bite and another bite..The chashu bowl was so savory and the pork was chopped and sitting on top of the rice. Great alternative to ramen if you aren't craving noodles. The bowls are kinda small so do you self a favor and order the large (it's not large like usual Texas size bowls.)I loved the shishito pepper appetizer, has a great sauce and out of all the peppers only one was spicy.

I really wanted to try this spot for a while and unfortunately I was underwhelmed. Plus, the food didn't sit well with my wife's stomach. It must be very popular among young, hipster, Gen Z and Gen Y patrons, because as I looked around, I'm pretty sure we were the only Gen Xers in the place (wait staff included). Anywho, the menu photos looked awesome, but once there we realized that pork (pork belly specifically) was in almost every dish and we don't eat pork. We were left with substituting our Spicy Miso and Garlic Ramen with grilled and fried chicken with vegetable broth. I am more of a Pho eater and I expected more flavor that just wasn't there. For appetizers we ordered the Karaage chicken and fried Takoyaki dumplings (w/ octopus) and they were very tasty. Although, we think either the octopus didn't sit well with my wife or there may have been some pork remnants in her ramen. I also wanted to try the garlic fried rice, but of course it was a pork dish, so I opted for the Gyudon rice bowl with finely shredded beef. It was just okay at first, but I felt like something was missing. We asked the waiter if there was a side of teriyaki sauce I could add to my rice bowl, and he said they offered a similar sauce (can't recall the name) for another $1. It turned the dish up a notch and tasted better after I stirred it in. We have more mature palette's at this stage of life and have experienced good and bad food as well as service. What was acceptable at 20 is not the same at 50 when it comes to dining and there were just a lot of minor things that could be improved upon. The lemonade was fountain Minute Maid and not good in any way, shape or form. The extra dollar I had to fork out for more flavor was absurd. The waiter brought our drinks, but provided no straws until we asked, and when he brought our three cartons of leftovers after we ate, there was no bag. Like, do I really need to walk out of here with 2 containers of soup and a Styrofoam carton in hand? We had to ask for a bag too. I've just come to expect more at this stage of life, but to the young patrons who seem to frequent this spot, have at it. I'll stick with my Pho spot for soup.
