Location is in The Plaza, which parking can be crazy. However, it is next to the parking lot in the plaza, which was not busy at the time. The vibe inside was calm, dimly lit, and gorgeous. The server was sweet and handled a table of 12+ graciously. Service was fast and once your dish was made, they immediately brought it out, not waiting for others to be prepared. I wasn't sure how I felt about that initially, but it turns out I loved it and it kept your food very fresh.I ordered the Truffle Chawanmushi, Scallop(Hotate)sushi, Hamachi sushi, shrimp tempura temaki, and Hamachi temaki tempura. I will go on record to say, this was some of the freshest fish I have had in Oklahoma. The hamachi melted in my mouth and I will never forget it!! The truffle Chawanmushi was so good, the egg custard, roe, and uni(first time eating) mended perfect. I'm going back...probably in the next week!

Ambiance: 5/5 Service: very friendly Sushi: quality is good but portion is smallllllk While the setting of this sushi restaurant was great and beautiful, I didn't think the food was up to par. And for it being nice in there, I think the up charge of it is quite high. What I would order again if I came back. All the fresh fish on nigiri style was worth it. I enjoyed the hamachi, Nega Toro, sake ikura hand rolls. Everything else was just alright. Small portions. Nothing too special

All around great experience! My husband and I came in today. We had reservations for a late lunch, 2:15pm. We waited for maybe 5 minutes while our table was prepared. The hostesses were very nice! The food was incredible. My husband and I were blown away by how great everything we got tasted. Something to mention though, this is elevated Asian cuisine. This isn't your 'California roll from some other sushi place in town.' This is higher quality, so the prices might seem high for what you get, but again, it's not the typical sushi restaurant. Our server, Lupita, was very friendly and made great suggestions! They did just open so I would definitely recommend a reservation. And honestly I would recommend coming at an off time/day, I would imagine even with a reservation coming on a Friday or Saturday night would be very busy. Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back! I will be dreaming of that crunchy rice tuna until then!

Made a reservation for Valentine's Day omakase special. The decor had a romantic Valentine's Day decor which I love! Even the tables were cute! Our server Jo was so good! Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Was given champagne and started the omakase course with truffle chawanmushi so flavorful! Ordered yellowtail serreno add on which was very refreshing. Everything we got was very tasteful. Miso cod was bursting with flavor and probably my favorite where my boyfriend got the wagyu beef. Ended with 3 types of dessert which was so good. Can't wait to try it again with the regular menu.

Came here for opening weekend and they did not disappoint. Our waitress, Jo, was so kind and had the best suggestions. Big shoutout to all the runners and chef as well. The whole meal was very smoothly run.For the food- try the miso cod. It literally melts in your mouth. The sashimi is probably one of the freshest sashimi I've had in OKC. Everything else is also good. I was pleasantly pleased with every dish we ordered.Pro tips: you'll need a reservation and plan to get there early because parking can be tough in that area. The portions are smaller so I'd plan to order multiple dishes.

Takaramono is OKC's newest and most exciting Japanese restaurant. It was worth the wait. They did a great job renovating the place! The music and dim lighting offer an intimate dining experience. The food is beautifully plated. Expect near-perfect quality sushi with a good balance between fish and rice. The yellowtail serrano and tuna sashimi were very fresh and tasty. The entrees were okay. My Takaramono fried rice was quite bland. For the price, I was surprised at how tiny it was! Also, there is not a lot of meat, and it is finely minced. An egg on top would've been great. The broth from the udon beef sukiyaki was not made for drinking since it is so sweet. The meat was tender. We weren't impressed with their entrees but the standouts from this visit were the desserts! The matcha tiramisu was excellent! And the pistachio-burnt basque cheesecake wasn't heavy but creamy and very smooth. We were in heaven. At the moment they are still working on their liquor license so we're looking forward to coming back for the drinks.

What do you get when you mix a New York chef and Michelin stars?! You get Takaramono - a warm & welcoming Japanese spot with the vibes of an Izakaya! The staff are extremely nice and the location is prime (Plaza District). We went here for dinner on a weekday with a reservation and there were a nice amount of tables seated. To drink, we had Diet Coke (right now there's only water, soda, and teas). For dinner we both shared an assortment of dishes - Yellowtail Serrano & Tuna Crispy Rice for apps, Wagyu skewers & fried rice for dinner, and green tea mochi for dessert. Overall, I will be back to try their omakase (chef's choice) soon!

I was so excited to see a new Japanese spot opened in OKC. The interior is super nice, loved the vibey lighting and decor. I ordered a variety of their raw fish, starting with the spicy salmon carpaccio which was amazing. Loved the seasoning. The nigiri's were all very fresh and a good size. The crispy rice was delicious, loved the tuna. The hamachi hand rolls were also very good. I think the pricing was very fair for what you get. Very good quality fish too. Service was great. Can't wait to come back!

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews but I had such a great time with my family at Takaramono last night. There's a wonderful energy to the restaurant and the staff were all lovely and seemed genuinely happy to help my family and I. I can't seem to remember our servers name but he was so nice to help give recommendations of what to order. I do remember that the manager Crystal was fantastic, she kept the environment calm even through the rush and still had time to greet us. The food blew my mind. We heard from our server that the fish was flown in weekly and we could all tell. Not in my 48 years in Oklahoma have I had better sushi. The dessert was a raspberry earl grey mousse cake, it was so flavorful and aromatic. Definitely a spot you should try if you like good service and sushi.
