Tacos Maria is kind of a fast-food authentic taco joint. Dine in or to-go, drive thru pick up window. Inside, order at the counter, a very limited menu. Average Mexican food, with more flavor than authentic. Somewhat strange, even borderline disgusting looking. The food tasted fine. We had the Tamales, Pollo Loco, and chips and salsa (you have to order 'em to get 'em). On the salsa, I ordered the hot. Decent and needed for the meals. The tamales were fair, good tasting from the green sauce inside and not an overload of masa on the outside. The filling was very skimpy on the chicken. My wife wanted pork, but they were out. My Pollo Loco was weird, coarse ground, grilled chicken, floated on queso; an image on the plate that was reminiscent of an oral eviction of gastrointestinal contents. Despite its appearance, the chicken was well seasoned and tasted good with the queso. Beans resembling canned and average rice on the side. Some reviewers have complained that the food here similar to California style Mexican food. While other reviewers voicing strong disagreement with that criticism, love the restaurant and have countered the negativism with opposing positive reviews and pictures of their favorite meal. The restaurant is clean and not a typical OkieMex, run down hole in the wall establishment. Frankly, the food is just 3 star OK. But here is the real rub, for $27 (my cost today), I am very certain you can find better Mexican food in Bartlesville, with table service and complementary chips and salsa.

Most authentic tasting Mexican food in Bartlesville. Only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star is because the food is overpriced for what you get. It's not a place where they serve you. You stand at a counter to order your food and the drinks are out of a dispenser you have to get yourself. This is the type of place you go to for lunch or a somewhat quick dinner. Nothing fancy.

Quite literally the BEST Mexican food in Bartlesville and surrounding areas. I have been almost once a week or every two weeks since I moved here 2.5 years ago and I've never had a bad experience! Get the tamales, you won't regret it! But get there early because they sell out fast!

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Bartlesville. I get dinner here almost every week if I can. It's always a treat for me and the food and service are great. I usually get one barbacoa taco and one al pastor. I also love their chips and queso. It's worth the extra cost for me. Their spicy salsa is also really good. On top of it all the tacos are cheap. This is my go to place here in town.

So glad Taco Maria is open again. We love the krispy taco supreme is my favorite and the burritos are also a favorite I've missed so much!
