This corner shop on Cherry St. is beautifully curated from ceiling to floor. Light fixtures, art, books, gifts, seasonal decor, and so much can be found here. Every time I've bopped in, I think to myself #housegoals. So much character and so many seems to be told with every item for sale. Prices are generally higher end, but if you're rockin' a budget like mine, go either right before or after a holiday to grab some discounted seasonal goods!

They don't honor their own gift cards. We tried to use a gift card given to us for our wedding, but they wouldn't accept it since '[they] had changed systems'. There was no expiration date on the gift card nor fine print about the vendor having the unilateral right to cancel their obligation. The floor sales reps had no power or desire to help us out even though they were clearly in the wrong.

The store with everything you don't need but certainly deserve. I love dropping in every now and then. It's easy to find small odds and ends while at the same time coveting the larger furniture pieces. Staff is friendly and chatty. This is a perfect place to find gifts for good friends, and if you're feeling like a splurge a gift for yourself. Everything here is chosen well but not totally stuffy. Yes, it's higher priced but the quality is excellent.

TA Lorton is one one of my favorite stores ever! I am amazed how how many times this establishment has reinvented itself to be current with the times in the design and gift world. I feel happy every time I enter this store! My experience with Tracey was excellent for start to finish! She has unbelievable customer service skills and was so patient when helping me with a purchase. She has excellent design skills too and even though my purchase that day was not a big one she made me feel like a VIP. She is an asset to this wonderful business.

Recently when I asked a worker (hopefully temporary help) standing behind the register to assist me with something in the window she first acted like she did not hear me and looked away. I apologized for my hoarse voice and said I was getting over a bug. She jumped back and put her hand over her face as if I had Ebola. I told her what I had she could get anywhere! it was a virus! She hesitantly walked with me to the front window as I asked her if she knew the price and size of a throw since I looked everywhere. She gingerly touched the throw and could not find the size or price. She then had the unbelievable audacity to tell me that I had to come back on Monday because she was not going to mess up the display! I was shocked and said you mean I cannot buy it? She said more than two more times that she was not going to take down the display and shook her head back and forth then rolled her eyes. I told her I cannot come back on Monday! I work weekdays that's why I am here Saturday. I asked if there was anyone else in the store that knew anything about the throw. She went to ask someone while I was watching she covered her mouth and talked in a softer voice which I guess she thought I was deaf but I was listening. Thank goodness the real customer service began when the nicest lady told her to ring people up at the register and she would help me. I was so upset and told her that I did not think I would have been treated so bad if I was someone all dressed up with makeup on and important. Instead she dealt with someone who had been sick more than a week, dying to get out of the house and spend money on me. The nice woman just pulled the beautiful throw gently off of the chair and got it down then I bought the super soft Glam blanket which had the right size and price. I have been a long time customer of this store and vendor to this store years ago. I hope to return after the hopefully temporary help reads an Etiquette and Manners book on how to not judge a book by its cover as well as The Golden Rule!
