Sumo Japanese Steak House

A fun experience at a Japanese Steakhouse! The service was great! Get your food cooked on a hibachi hot stone in front of you! Their ingredients were top notch and tasted great! The setting is pleasant!

I was craving sushi so I stopped by here to try that all you can eat sushi. Upon arrival, there were not many tables and the restaurant was very dim with workers spread out throughout the restaurant on their phones. The price was cheap for AYCE, but unfortunately, so was the quality of fish. We ordered the crab rangoons to start, and they were soo good. The filling was perfect. The sushi was not the worst, but it was not great. Some nigiri had a fishier smell than other pieces which had us a bit concerned. Our server was sweet and helpful, but he kept forgetting our order or gave us sushi that we did not order. I think the price point is fairly 'what you pay is what you get'. There are no appetizers, soup, salads, etc. that come with the AYCE price. It is only nigiri, sashimi, special rolls, and hand rolls.

I was warmly welcomed as soon as I walked in! Our area was clean and inviting! The food was delicious and our chef was AMAZING!!!

I have been enjoying Sumo since I was in high school, and the only reason I am giving this spot 2 instead of 5 stars is because of the poor service I recently encountered this past Sunday night. Do I need to pull a South Park and wear a shirt that says "I'm Yelp Elite" so businesses treat me better?A new hibachi chef just started about a week ago and he was beyond rude to me. I think he thought he was being funny, but he purposely threw a piece of runny egg on me and it ended up all over my hair. What's worse is I asked him not to throw it on me when he was aiming, and he proceeded to throw it anyway. I was beyond mad. The food was great, as usual, but the chef kept picking on me in the rudest way. After he served the fried rice on my plate, he asked me "What do you say?" and kept staring at me waiting for me to say "Thank you". I am beyond disappointed in this chef and absolutely turned off by the service. I usually enjoy the hibachi chefs who are very pleasant and fit in a tasteful amount of humor into their hibachi act, but this chef was awful and rude. Please train your staff to be respectful to customers. We did not tip this chef at all, but instead handed Kody, the owner's son, a tip and asked him not to share with the chef. Kody is always so nice to us whenever we come here. I still want to support this place, but the next time we come, we will be requesting a chef other than the one we had on Sunday.

We have been here a few times now and only eaten hibachi and they have not disappointed, food is amazing, show is awesome, and everyone has been super friendly and kind. Last we ate 2/1/25 was an extremely busy night with big parties and we still only waiting 15 mins for a party of 3. Would definitely recommend.

Came here with couple of friends during lunch hour as everyone ordered options for all you can sushi. The waiter messed up our orders, we were missing a couple sashimi items but I guess that's not the end of the world. But follow by that, we were so so disappointed by the quality of the sushi and sashimi, the portion size for rice was ridiculously large compared to the fish, and even worst, the rice was compacted making it hard to eat, overall not a pleasant experience. If you're looking for sushi places, I highly recommend you look else where, this place is just MID at best!

We had a reservation on Christmas Eve for 6:30. We made the reservation over a month ago. We got to the restaurant and were told they were slightly behind because the people before us wouldn't leave. We were told it would be 20 minutes. An hour and a half later they were trying to split our family up between two tables so we left. I would not recommend this place. Doesn't seem to be managed correctly.

Absolutely love this place, my family and I come here every special holiday. Beware of a long wait, but very VERY worth your time. Food is beyond delicious. Special shout out to our boy Kevin, always a goat.Another great shout out for T, our waiter, unbelievable service, we thank you over and over again.

We had a 6:30 reservation and still were not seated d by 7:50. Had to leave because we had children. Place was nasty inside. Had cockroaches behind the bar. GROSS
