Figured I'd update this again since it's been a few years. Sorghum is still the best, no question about it. Prices have gone up quite a bit from years past, but I did notice a lot more helpers this year so that's probably why. This years 8.5" ft tree was $155.We had a very easy time start to finish and the trees are looking much more manicured and full as opposed to years past. So basically, higher cost, but better quality all around. Here's what you need to know:*Skip the pre cut trees up front, they aren't even from Oklahoma, sneaky sneaky.*Come the weekend before thanksgiving to pretag your tree to guarantee best selection.*Bring a sawzall or similar tool when you come to cut it down or you'll have a hard time using their tired old hand saws.*Explore all the fields and have fun, but remember people are creatures of habit so some of the best trees are right up front and get walked past in pursuit of grass on the greener side.*Try to find a tree close to the outside walkways so you don't have to drag it around waiting for a helper in a cart.*Take a pic of the sold tag once paid.*Take a pic of where your tree is located and some reference pics, esp if not picking up same day.*If you're here just to take family pics, read their website as they have special dates for that. If you do this during regular hours and without buying a tree, they'll be pissed and for good reason due to the foot traffic you're blocking as well as you're standing in front of their product someone wants to buy.How this place actually works:You enter and walk the entire acreage on your own. All trees are tagged with a serial number, price and measurement. Enjoy the smells and sights, it's a beautiful place. After you find the tree you want, take the bottom half of the tag with you back up front to pay for it. They will give you a sold tag, the bottom part of the tag now with your name on it, and red ribbon to mark the tree. Make sure you get 2 tags back with one marked sold as sometimes the helpers are new and forget. You keep the third sold tag - DONT LOSE IT - and put the other tag and ribbon on your tree to mark it. You can pick up anytime after thanksgiving and take it home. Ours has always lasted at least 5 weeks so we grab ours asap. When you go to pick up, which can be the same day once paid, you just go straight to it and cut it down yourself. Bring it back up front to the crew to wrap and drill it. They have people on carts circling the acreage so you don't have to physically carry it. They also will cut it for you if you're so inclined, they also provide saws. Once it is up front, you get back in your vehicle and join the pick up line while they prep it. They have crew to tell you where to go, just drive slow and watch for them and kiddos. When it's your turn, you give them your sold ticket and they do the loading for you! It'll be wrapped and drilled for you already as well.It can be kind of intimidating if you're new, and the crew is mostly teenagers who aren't always the most informed, though they're usually always kind. But give it a try and bring LOTS of patience as it is always busy and a little chaotic at times. You won't regret it!

This will be our regular Christmas tree lot. I was blown away by the customer service and the incredible quality and amount of trees. The farm has a variety of tree types as well, so you can get something different if you want. This is like the tree lots I went to as a kid, with free cider and hot chocolate. I'm already excited to go back next year.

My husband's brother and his family have come year to chop down their Christmas trees for the last couple of years, and we have joined them for the fun experience. We prefer fake trees personally, but it's a fun family activity. They provide a saw and will haul the tree to the front for you, unless your strength/will allows you to carry it yourself haha. This year we got a juniper wreath though, and that has made our living room more festive, plus the occasional whiff of juniper is nice too. I like how they have several different types of trees available as well. We went the Saturday after Thanksgiving and there were a good amount to choose from. They have this down to a science, and it shows with their customer service.

If you liked being yelled at and condescended by the owner during a happy family event, then this is your place. I do NOT recommend this place. The owner was so rude to us that the workers were all apologizing. I'm sure he'll respond here and say some nonsense, but when your own workers are apologizing on your behalf when you won't apologize on your own behalf, that's a horrible sign. I've been coming here for four years. We always buy a big tree and cut down a small tree and buy lots of wreaths and such. We were great customers. My family always enjoyed the tradition. We come up here from an hour away and then go over to Pops. I've never met the owner before tonight. He is NOT a nice guy. Grumpy people shouldn't own or operate Christmas oriented businesses. He lost our business forever. Adios Sorghum.

Don't get me wrong, the service is always fantastic. There is always someone to greet you, and ask if you need anything. Other than that, this was a sub par experience. We have been going to Sorghum for over 20 years, and stopped about 4 years ago due to the quality of the trees going down hill. We buy 4 trees as a family, with the biggest being 15'. Not only were the trees all the most we have paid in 5 years, but they did not even shake the trees when prepping them. It took longer to clean up after bringing the tree inside than it did to find it. They also told us there were plenty of 15' trees to cut ourselves and there weren't any. Pretty disappointed in what this has become, a bunch of pre cut trees, that completely takes away from the magic of what this place used to be. Needless to say, we will be taking our business back to Norman next year.Thanks.

Best quality Christmas trees in Oklahoma. Staff is very helpful and willing to walk you through tree colors and variety's. They give out free hot chocolate and apple cider as well as candy canes for the kids. Over all a great place for a family adventure and we'll be coming back every year.

First time getting a real tree and it was an amazing experience here. The kids in the front were not very knowledgeable, but the ladies at the cashier window were exceptionally knowledgeable and nice. It's tough to find good customer service anywhere these days, so this was super refreshing. The man in the front directing traffic and loading trees deserves a raise - nicest person I've met in a very long time. Oh and the land is beautiful with hundreds of trees!

Absolutely love the selection atmosphere and friendly service. Been a family tradition for many years. Hope it continues for many many more. Worth the extra $ for the higher quality and grade of trees. Also having the fresh cut out on each tree extends the freshness and quality. Well worth it.
