Sonny's Cafe

As we were traveling up to OKC, we had this cafe pop-up on our GPS. We looked through their menu and decided we would love to try their food. It did not disappoint! This is the best cafe/diner we have ever been to! We had their chicken fried chicken as well as their catfish. Everything was fresh and crispy! The amount of food that is given to you is criminal; it will definitely keep you full for a few hours. This cafe keeps their old-fashion ways of seating yourself and paying for your meal at the counter. The waitress was nice but only came to get our order and to bring us food which was whatever because the food was a 10/10. The restaurant had a vintage country theme to it with various metal signs, taxidermy animals, and other memorabilia. There are various booths and tables, but you do have to come at a decent time before the rush or you won't find a table. Overall, if you are ever in the area, take the time to come here!

I had just finished up with work as was in the mood for catfish. A first responder recommended Sonny's so I heading over to check them out. Although I wasn't there on their catfish special day, I got the fried catfish plate with the fixings. It wasn't long before I had my plate in front of me with two large fillets in a light breading. The meat was thick with a nicely seasoned breading. I wasn't able to eat both fillets they were so big. If you're lining for some great food and excellent sweet tea, Sonny's is your place

Can't believe I've lived so close to this place and had never gone.... Not from lack of trying,it's just that when I tried they weren't open. I'm glad I finally made it though because there is a lot to like! Starting with a very nice establishment with so much to see! I love all the old amenities and decor all around the room. The menu is as diverse as Chili's and the prices are surprisingly affordable. I went with the CFS for my 1st trip and it was pretty good! Many of the complaints I've heard in regards to CFS is that there's too much breading! Well if that's the case at least season it right and make the breading taste good! They did that!If I had one qualm,it would be that the food wasn't as hot as I'd like... not sure why that was,but overall a good experience and will definitely go back.

Worst service ever! Felt like we were intruding on their time, did I mention they didn't give us menus until 5 min after we were not greeted at the door. My meal came with salsa and I had to physically walk up to the counter to ask for it, when it came with the meal! Don't come here if you want to spend $4 for 3 skimpy bacon slices. The food was also a bit cold and so were the waitresses. Pay with cash otherwise they will charge you $2 at the register to process payment. This place is a rip off, BEWARE. Stay home and cook people ‍

Absolutely disgusting food! Do they seriously serve everything on brown floppy iceberg lettuce to try and make it look more... Elegant?? This stuff is pig slop. It's literally microwave dinners. All frozen and thawed out to serve you the same food you can get for better prices at Walmart. But the worst part is how much they charge. Way over inflated prices for tiny portions. It's nice more business are trying in this area, but it's places like this that make us look bad. It's not a nice place to sit down and eat. No comfort at all. Messy and sticky. When asking questions, a staff member got frustrated that she had to stop talking to another staff member to speak with me.

Southern dinner style cafe , home style cooking, great servers & food coming out incredibly delicious and H U G E with the chicken fried steak my boyfriend enjoyed! Thank you for a great dinner Sonny's Cafe! Will be back, most definitely. Very Cool antique gas pumps.

Best food by far!! We take our family here often. Very friendly staff and quick service.

This is down home cooking, right here! If you go, go hungry! The portions are generous! My favorite is The Works, pinto beans, okra, fried potatoes and cornbread! You can also add a ham slice! The chicken fried steak is HUGE! Absolutely delicious! The servers are friendly and keep your drinks filled! It can be a little loud in there! But it's nothing that would keep me away!

Food and service were both amazing!!! It's a charming little place with lots of decor to look at. The chicken and dumplings tasted just like my mom makes!!!

Excellent! The food was so good service was amazing.The restaurant is decorated so adorable. The place is clean and well organized.
