Chicken fried steak with fries and potato salad.
Not really a gift shop. More like a flea market.
Most of the store is tables and chairs for the "cafe."

They are a great classic style diner with some of the best chicken fried steak and burgers in Collinsville and Owasso. The service is good as they make good recommendations and make great drinks. The whole place has an old time feel. I was told they used to have arcade games but now there is a gift shop with an antique feel. I like coming here as a fun treat and my husband loves coming here for his birthday. He's been going there since he was a kid.

Silver Dollar, Gift Shop, Café and Saloon is a unique uh.... place. It is spacious, occupying at least two old buildings on main street. The décor is pine wood furniture, authentic metal ceiling tin, country store shelving and displays, decorated with pawn shop / thrift store paraphernalia.A food hall, a bar, a recreation area, maybe a dance hall, and what they refer to as a gift shop. Details. Frist of all I didn't see a single silver dollar. I have been in silver dollar bars before, so I expected to see the walls lined with the old coins. Where are they? Next the saloon. A sectioned off area in the back. A real bar! There is a big selection of beers on tap and all the liquors necessary to make any drink you can come up with. It looks like a comfortable place to drown your sorrows. Gift shop? Not for the persnickety people I have to shop for. A kid with $10 could score some cool stuff though. Food. It is good. I asked our nice server Sydney, "How's the chili?" The answer "I like it!" Fair enough. Open face chili burger with cheese, onions, mustard and jalapenos for me. My wife picked the salad with crispy chicken. The salad was fresh and excellent. Check the pictures. The chili, yes sir! Silver Dollar makes good TexMex style chili. It was covering an enormous chunk of hamburger. Half pound probably. With the mustard, onions, cheese and jalapenos on a toasted burger bun, it was just right! The French fries were fresh cut, not crispy, not that great. Order a different side. The chili alone could lure me back.

Silver Dollar Cafe is a fairly typical Northeast Oklahoma Diner. No doubt most of their food is delivered by a mass food distributor. So the ingredients are mediocre, at best. This diner does do a great job of making these ingredients work. The food was hot from the kitchen, service was excellent and attentive. Though this is nothing to write home about, it was a good experience overall. Oklahoma needs some good scratch diners that hand pick ingredients and prepares more unique dishes. You shouldn't have a bad meal at Silver Dollar but, it won't be kind blowing either. Good food, excellent service at a reasonable price point.

We were browsing Main Street and 'gift shop' in the sign caught our attention. I wish it hadn't. This shop really doesn't know what it is--cafe, bar, garage sale. It wasn't anything that interested our group. Old log tables and chairs occupy the majority of the store as well as a separate adjacent space to support the cafe. A counter in the back provides the bar/saloon. A portion of the front has two worn pool tables and a few amusement games. "Gifts" along one wall are new overstock items one usually sees in flea markets: key chains, knives, Trump memorabilia, cheaply made toys, inferior tools, etc.

Service was great and since this was a meeting for a club we had a nice quiet room to have our meeting. The comments around the table were all positive and we each had very different items and they were all good.

Not a fan of this place. Back in the day there were a number of Silver Dollar Cafes around the rural Tulsa area and the one thing my family always went for when visiting was their monster size sirloin steaks. No lie these things were so big they actually covered the entire plate they served it on. Cut to today and there is one left in Collinsville. I was down the road aways in Skiatook but figured I would make the drive down 20 and see if this place bore any resemblance to the versions of SDC that I remembered. The short answer is no. QUite frankly it looks like someone merged a garage sale with a bar and decided to serve food on the side. No huge sirloin steaks available. Opted for a large chicken fried steak and because they had no large steaks available they gave me two small ones which defeats the purpose of having a large one. The coating for the steaks was the blandest I've ever had, NO seasoning at all. Brought the second one back for my neighbor and when I asked him how he liked it that was the first thing he brought up, how bland and unseasoned it was. The sides were just as bad. Likely won't be making a trip back, maybe they can sell more of their Trump hats to make up for it. All in all bad food, mediocre service and a confused pitiful ambiance make this a must miss for me for here on out.

This is a good place to go in Collinsville thar won't break the bank. They have great burgers and freshly made zucchini sticks (love those!) They have a pretty varied menu and sometimes the service is a bit slow, but it's a unique building with a nice bar and a whole lot of low cost items for sale, as well as an outdoor area in the back where you can sit and have a drink too.Go for a burger and beer and make sure to try those zuchini sticks (there are plenty to share.)

We've been to the Silver Dollar a couple of times now, and both have been great. Our first stop in was for dinner, just myself and The Wife. She went for the ribeye and I opted for.... wait for it.... Chicken Fried Steak. I know... you're surprised.First, the place. To call it eclectic would be a bit of an understatement. It's a couple of huge rooms with brick walls and pressed tin ceilings. Lots of room, plenty of space around the tables, so you don't feel the least bit crowded. It's certainly a unique place, with a game room on one side, a few arcade machines, a bar of sorts in the rear, and what could only be described as a flea market right inside the front door. It's not actually a flea market, since there aren't any people selling, but rather its several tables with marked down merchandise much like you'd find in a flea market. Not sure I'd put it right in the front of the house, but hey, it ain't my restaurant.Seating is of the table and bench variety, with only a few table/chair setups in view. It's for sure a different experience than most places in the area. What with the hardwood floors, tin ceilings and brick walls, it all adds up to a quirky form of rustic, that pretty much works. Now on to the food. The Wife's ribeye steak was good. Really good. Not a great steak, but really good. It was tender, juicy and had a great flavor. What kept it from being great was just that it was missing a good crust on the outside, but that said, that could be more of a personal preference on my part. Either way, she loved it.I went with the CFS, large order. It was pretty much huge. Nicely thick, thick enough to actually have two sides, unlike some I've had. The breading had an oddly sweet taste to it, not unlike a funnel cake batter. I'm all for a sweet/sour thing, but I'd have preferred the sweet be in the gravy, and not the meat. But again, that's just me. The gravy was nicely bodied with the right amount of both pepper and salt, and was adequately portioned. The mashed potatoes were the weak part of the meal, being obviously instant mix. I will never understand why a restaurant would not do homemade mashed potatoes. Overall, a solid dinner that I came away from very satisfied.Service was on point as well, with the right amount of attention being paid to us while dining. Drinks were kept full, food was delivered nice and hot, and my belly was full when I left.Second experience was on a Saturday morning. We were out late in the morning wanting some breakfast. We didn't get it. Silver Dollar Cafe doesn't do breakfast, which I'm pretty sure is a freakin' shame, based on the rest of the food I've tried.Be that as it may, we opted for an early lunch instead, The Wife having the Philly Steak sandwich, and I going for the Fried Pork Cutlet sandwich, both with fries. Her Philly was as good as any we've had out. Mine was equally good, with a large piece of tender pork cutlet hanging over the sides of a decent sized bun, with lettuce, tomatos and pickle slices (hold the onions). The fries seemed to be fresh, hand cut (or at least a fry cutter), and were cooked perfectly. I'd eat that pork cutlet sandwich for lunch every day of the week and be pretty happy with it.As with the dinner, food was hot, service was great, and plenty was offered up.That's as good as it gets around here, and we will definitely be regulars.

First time back after the front was taken out by a driver. I ordered the chips and queso and it arrived room temp and chips were stale. Sent it back and was given hot queso and fresh chips. I ordered the BBQ bacon burger and the burger was okay. My 15 year old loves burgers and he couldn't finish it as he didn't like the onions. He usually has no problem with all he toppings of a burger. My other son got the pattimelt and he said it was good. None of us cared from the fries. Some may like fresh cut potato fries but they are just too mushy for our liking. The wooden furniture is cool but not comfortable at all. It's an iconic part of Collinsville and I want to like it but just don't think there's anything I would like there. I've had the catfish before and it was mush. I don't think I'll go back.

It's THE place to go in Collinsville. There's some great history to the building if you speak to the owner. He always around and such a nice man. Food portions are insane! You definitely don't leave hungry. It's a great place to grab a drink, dinner, shoot some pool or hang out in the patio.
