Sidecar Barley & Wine Bar

This was our second visit to this specific location. The location is super convenient so disappointing we haven't enjoyed either visit. First visit, there was a live band. The band would be great if the sound was a little less intense. They place them in a small place but blare up the sound. It takes away from the atmosphere. We tried again tonight because there was no live band. This time there was a huge table outside and all were smoking. We went indoors but due to the open doors, the smoke was still very strong inside and out. I have a difficult time being around smoke with my asthma so I doubt I return. Both visits the service has been great so take my review as you will.

So happy to have a Sidecar in Edmond! Sitting on a rooftop patio listening to live music and sipping on a cocktail in perfect weather is a nice time with friends and family! Cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic waitstaff! Super attentive and cheerful. Food menu is limited and only a few gluten free options, but it's a bar. I don't expect much there. The vibe here is similar to the one at Chisholm Creek. The indoors meld with the outdoors so it's the perfect spot for a good weather day. Since the official opening night (last night) was abbreviated due to weather, the live music was here tonight. The band was amazing, but we couldn't help but notice that there's really no escaping the overpowering live music, even when sitting indoors. If you're sensitive to loud noises (like me), then maybe come on a night when they don't have a band. The live music schedule is posted on the FB page for all those wondering. It's not worth removing a star, though. Parking is abundant in the garage. So excited to have this on the east side of Edmond! I have a feeling we'll be regulars.

There are several things that I like about this location. The food is good and the location is great. I really like the ambience of the building and the layout. A few things that are tough to handle is that the live music is so loud that you can't communicate with anybody you're around. Part of the fun in going to a place like Sidecar is to sit with friends and visit but the music is just too loud. Also, the wait staff seem to be so busy that they aren't able to give good service. Perhaps there are just not enough employees. We found them to be rude and on several occasions they didn't follow through with the service requested. I feel like these are minor changes that could made to salvage a lot of business--including mine.

Chilled spot, just need some better seating arrangements but an overall cool spot for drinks

So excited to have a Sidecar in Edmond. Plus the staff is so sweet! Kendall & Hector are always whipping up the best drinks! Not to mention the gorgeous firepit. I mean...who doesn't love a rooftop patio + fire.
