The fried pickles and ranch. These actually came out perfectly fried, which is a miracle in my book.

Almost a destination stop for a meal! Customer focused friendly service! Excellent Southern home style menu options, large serving, delicious sides, excellent desserts and a great value for all! Plenty of parking for all types of vehicles. Nearby motel. The interior is interesting and homey with a touch of wit. This is what you need if you've been on the road for a while!

Food was ok and what you would expect from a small family owned restaurant. Their chicken fried steak, catfish and pork chop were pretty good. They unfortunately fell short at the desserts. They boasted an awesome cinnamon roll that was not very flavorful and seemed like a microwaved store bought run of the mill roll. The banana and chocolate cream pies had a 2.5 inch meringue and a quarter of an inch pie filling. We wish we had just left after dinner. Service was very kind and attentive. We would recommend this warm and welcoming place if you are in the area but pass on dessert.

We were making a 5 hour drive to northwest Arkansas and were really hungry when I saw the sign for Sherry's and Farmhouse Kitchen sounded really homemade and really good...and it was! I haven't had chicken livers in a very long time and not only were they delicious, but they're grilled, not fried! Admittedly the baked potato was dry, but the dinner roll more than made up for it! It was big and fluffy and every bit as yummy as the calorie count! As you can imagine with a name like Sherry's Farmhouse Kitchen, the whole menu is very country, as is the decor, and the staff have a southern twang to match. If there was a negative to the place it was the hints of Arkansas Razorback fandom (Gig 'em, Aggies! ) but if they'll feed me like this every time we drive through here, I can forgive them that

Seat yourself, menu's written on the white board, plenty of happy guests! Sherry's is a find! There's a menu with lots of both breakfast and lunch/dinner choices, but veggies and the specials are on the board. Super servers for the busy Sunday lunch crowd, almost no wait for our meals - pork pot roast with veggies and a patty melt. If you're coming from the East, it's before you get to Sallisaw - don't miss it!

Oh my goodness! We were thrilled with our decision to stop here! Big menu of old fashioned favorites! We are traveling from OKC to Birmingham on a Sunday and stopped for lunch. We arrived at 1245 and the place was packed! We were quickly seated and greeted by our friendly waitress! Looking over the huge menu that was supplemented by their Sunday specials we settled on fried shrimp for me and fried chicken livers for my husband. So good and huge portions! They serve a variety of home made pie for dessert and we had to pace ourselves, leaving almost half of our lunch on the plate. (Big portions!) We settled on splitting a piece of coconut meringue pie. As was the rest of the meal, the pie was out of this world. We could see why this place is a hit with the locals! Our waitress was so nice and friendly and the atmosphere was small town America! Very reasonably priced, clean, friendly environment. This is our new stop when traveling on I40!

So impressed with the quality of food from this place! Everything including the gravy was homemade. Chicken fried steak done right. Fried pork chop was as "close to home" as I've had in a long time. Turnip greens were tender and loaded with bacon. Wife's northern beans were creamy and delicious. Rolls were big as soft balls. Beets were home pickled brine. Nothing came from Cysco foods for sure. Don't come here expecting ambiance. It's s a working man's diner and it shows. Definitely a local favorite by the number of trucks in the parking lot for lunch. This is my favorite kinda place!

Stopped in here on a whim while we traveled through and wanted to go to someplace local. The ambiance here was fine, kitschy and country just like you would want a diner to be. But the server was uninterested in serving and took forever to get us waters and then another eternity to take our orders. We ordered many simple things and they screwed up every one of them. The pancakes were burned. My scrambled eggs were so over done and disgusting. The grits were clearly made by some who had never had grits in their life. A cheeseburger had been cooked beyond anyone's ability to believe there was meat and not a hockey puck. Lastly, I got sausage gravy with no sausage. It was peppery white sauce.I don't think I've ever told someone to their face that their restaurant was terrible before. But that's what I told the woman I paid as we left. Total waste of money.

The catfish and home fries were good. The server was friendly and attentive but not bothersome. The casual and peaceful atmosphere was a nice change from loud music and being rushed through the meal.
