Shellys Stigler Cafe

Happened to be near Stigler for a funeral, and it was lunchtime, so I dropped into Shelly's for lunch. It's a pretty good sized place, with 4 seating areas. I was seated quickly and offered a menu, also advised about the lunch buffet, that day being hamburger steak and meatloaf. I was hesitant at first, because it's been my experience neither of those do well on a buffet, but when the customer next to me heard "meatloaf", she said "Is today meatloaf day?" with a favorable tone, so I decided to give it a shot.I love a good buffet and this one did not disappoint. The salad bar ($3.99 adder) was a solid old school salad bar. Plenty of toppings, enough to make a good meal on.The buffet consisted of the aforementioned meats, along with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, a pan of fried onions (NICE touch), corn, carrots and a couple other vegetable choices I didn't take advantage of.The meatloaf was some of the best I've had in diners, despite being on a buffet. Surprisingly, the hamburger steak was not at all dried out and had a really robust flavor. The potatoes were good, not sure if they were scratch or not, but they were good nonetheless. The gravy was for sure a packet mix, and it wasn't holding well on the steam table, but it was decent anyway. Service was outstanding, food was good and the price was reasonable.That's a win in my book.

Great service they were extremely nice to us. The food was very tasty and filled us up. Very cozy ambiance would definitely come again.

Worst steak I've ever eaten. I got the luncheon steak sirloin no flavor no seasoning. The baked potato was overcooked. They put about five pieces of lettuce on your plate and call it a salad. The best thing on the plate was the grill Texas toast. This was a total bust and I can't believe it's got had a five star rating until I gave the truth, I also looked at the buffet, which was what my first choice was until I saw it and I canceled that for the luncheon steak was negative and it certainly didn't make a positive won't be back. Goodbye Shelly forever.

Worst omelette i have ever had! Cold and raw vegetables and flavorless. Come on guys not hard to cook a decent omelette!

Huge portions of delicious food! We will be back for certain! Excellent service and fun vibe! No whin' in!

Been there a few times over the years when I visit. Always treated like family, by friendly faces. Great food cooked and served like your their favorite childhood cousin they haven't seen in years. Granny's style home cooking coupled with southern hospitality. A true hidden gem!I had the pleasure of meeting Shelly, and she is the genuine, giving, and loving small business that I am certainly proud to support. Keep it up out there!

Breakfast was so good!! Fast friendly service from Amanda. What a great attitude and always smiling! Pretty good size diner.

My wife and I were fortunate to find this delightful cafe in Stigler Oklahoma. There is a lot of seating inside. We stopped for breakfast. The food was very good and the service was excellent and very friendly. The eggs were particularly good. Our server was Amanda and she was very good.

This is a really good place to eat w dry single I have ate from there. Is great the service is wonderful . You won't be disappointed
