Senor Fajitas

Such a hidden gem! Right next to Gardner's (the best used bookstore around), this amazing restaurant exists and had the fastest service I'd ever gotten. Our waitress was so friendly and funny, and the food came out so quickly. It was delicious salsa, queso, rice, beans, tacos, and sopapillas for dessert. Overall, it was a little bit more pricey than I would've expected, but it was worth it for the quality of food and service!

Not much to say here it was relatively average spot, nothing tasted bad or any red flags to avoid but it was very generic and average. I wish i could say man you have to try that place its a good place for fajitas but honesty it was like they use the frozen precooked meat and they just put together the food with minimal added seasoning. Nothing had that fresh tasting normally I like the lime hit with the fajitas but none to be had. The salsa was pretty watered down and did not have much flavor, the quantity is acceptable but just wished it was more flavorful. After our meal i jokingly asked anyone if they remember their meal and no one did.

For #ThankYouThursday, I wanted to update my review for Senor Fajitas.The Wife goes there at least once a week, and it's usually our lunch destination spot when I find myself in Tulsa during the week.Food is always on point and reliable, and the people are just off the charts friendly.Tulsa needs more spots like this.... locally owned and operated by people who genuinely care about their customers.

Senior Fajitas apparently opened in 2012. They advertise as TexMexOnly 11 reviews for an establishment that as been in business for ten years, is a realistic, but harsh testimony to the restaurant's performance. Yelpers are not filling the chairs here. It just ain't that good.I have to talk about the chips first, because if you eat here, it will be the first taste in your mouth that cannot be ignored. I am fairly sure the chips are fried in lard. That is not uncommon. What you will taste is a tolerable, but very slight distasteful, rancid flavor of old, over used frying oil/lard. The weak salsa does nothing to hide it. And the hot salsa, to my disappointment is nothing more that the red salsa with red pepper added.I went with the Acapulco Dinner; two cheese enchiladas, one taco, one tamale, guacamole, beans and rice. The good; The tamale was covered with a Texas style chili sauce. It tasted like, well, like Texas chili. The tamale although small was very good! The beans were good also! The average; That would be the guacamole, the cheese enchiladas, and the rice. Cheese enchiladas have no chance of ever being a respected food. It is not the restaurant's fault. It is just that cheese enchiladas are the most boring food to be found on a plate of Mexican food. It is like a cake donut without any frosting. Why do they make those things. The not so good; The taco. Specifically, the greasy ground beef in the taco. It also had an unusual texture. I suspect that the beef was blended with refried beans. It tasted different than taco filling I have experienced. My wife's plate of food was similar. A plate of food without any redeeming attributes to draw you back to the restaurant. The service was very good!It is OK food. It just didn't work for me.

I have only frequented this location once and I tell you, I regret not having been in here more. A few things up front, the location is great as it's easy to get in and out of, but it doesn't look the best. The outside is dated, as is the rest of the business in the strip mall and the interior isn't any better. It's not to say that it's dirty or gross, it's just dated and well used.With the negatives out of the way let's talk about the good stuff! 1.) Customer service here is ON POINT! I was very pleased with my server and the manager on duty. Both checked on us regularly and made sure we have everything we needed in short order.2.) The Food! I had a chicken chimi and dude...... it was STUFFED with yummy chicken! I was surprised to see the majority of the contents of my deep fried, oblong shaped meal be protein! I very much enjoyed that! The rice and beans were yummy and they served a healthy dollop of sour cream and guacamole with it. 3.) Chips and Salsa were so yummy! Of course it's tradition and to be expected at most Mexican restaurants but I was particularly fond of the salsa here.In closing, I must say this is a great spot to try out and enjoy a reasonably priced meal. You won't find frills here or expect a sparking first date kind of vibe, but if you want to enjoy some good food with excellent service, you might consider trying this out!

Spinach enchiladas are to die for!! Also, next to the best book store in Tulsa!! Stop in for a good lunch and shop next door!

My favorite lunch spot. The owner is the absolute sweetest. Hands down the best cheese enchiladas and taco salad in town.

Next to Gardner's Books. Very clean. Very nice decor. Very friendly employees. Food was excellent. I had the Chicken Chimichanga with rice and beans. Wife had chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. Good size portions and well spiced. Salsa was also good. I definitely recommend..

I love this restaurant and have for many years! It is always delicious and the employees are always so great. I am a huge fan of the beef enchiladas and the beef and bean nachos. As far as I'm concerned, they have the best salsa. Always clean and always pleasant atmosphere.

I love hole-in-the-wall places because the food is always good. I was not disappointed! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely come back!
