It would have been fun if it wasn't such a hot day. I sat it the Scott's rock tent with a beer and stayed put. Lucky for me that's where my favorite band, The Blaggards played. Next year, I say we have it in October and let the Germans have September.

We had a hell of a good time . We had to VIP passes and I'm not really sure what they got us the van some food , And a place to sit. Music it was OK I was hoping for more authentic but maybe I don't know what I'm talking about . Games were goodTransportation back-and-forth to the college was efficient A better selection of scotch and whiskeys for sale would work for me . Like most festivals beer seems to be the number one seller

Need to move it to October. Triple digit temps are no fun. And most of the music was more Irish than Scottish, except for the pipe bands. Other than that, good festival.

My first time at this fun Celtic festival. Nice variety of Celtic booths and Highlands games were fun to watch. Loved seeing all the variety of kilts. The meat pies were delicious... very impressed with the oven in the booth. The beer was cold and the music was extremely fun. No AC in the transportation bus and quite a wait for them. Would be nice if they added Mass on Sunday morning next year at the festival. A great way to spend 1/2 way to St. Patrick's Day !

Great Scottish festival, but for one thing, they hardly have any Scottish folk music and mostly it's Irish music. Sure , there's pipes and drum bands and that's great, but it's great to have folk music from the country you are promoting. This year I didn't see any Scottish Highland Dancers.

This is a festival I try and attend every year. I have to say tho that each year this fest goes downhill a little bit more.Pros: I like that there were plenty of booths set up for liquor and wine. I liked the rugby matches as well and I have to say the quality of music has been pretty good for the last few years. I also love the fact that you can use money and not have to buy the ignorant tickets that the city makes Oktoberfest and Mayfest use.Cons: Starting from the arrival on the west side of the river. A number of us park south of 21st street in the lot and walk the bike/jogging trail to the event area just like we do for Oktoberfest. Now for $10 admission you would figure there would be some one there at that spot on the trail to sell tickets and take money, just like Oktoberfest, but you would be wrong. There is a guy standing there to either A) let you proceed down the trail past the event or B) tell you to walk back 1/2 mile where you came from and an additional 3/4 mile to the one place taking money. Most of us walked down the trail and walked into the event without paying. I went back to the front and paid but if I did it and the 10+ that were ahead of me did it I imagine a lot of money was lost by that. Then once you are at the event and simply want a beer there was ONE place offering beer and it had a ridiculous line standing right next to the loudest tent on site. Beer was also warm like it had been poured and left to sit until some one wanted it, which was strange because they seemed to be out of most of what they had taps for. Food selections were also very restricted, Scottish food was alleged for sale but it was pretty bad. I went with an actual Scot from Scotland and he thought it was some kind of joke. There didn't seem to be many vendors this year as well. The whiskey tasting has devolved to the point where they were passing out the samples in plastic cups with lids. Horrible.I hope things start to get better but I'm not going to hold my breath.

The Scottish Festival was so much nicer when it was at Chandler Park, the park was a perfect fit. Since moving to the River Parks controlled ugly plot nothing is as good , a real disappointment. I don't know why this happened, but I assume we are stuck with what it is. Very Sad ! It would be great to see a group get together and move it back to Chandler, maybe a little later in the year when weather is cooler.

Wonderful cultural event! The advertising seems to be minimal (almost non-existent if you dont live in the Tulsa area). Attendees and staff are friendly and accomodating, however, it IS a Scot Fest....bring your sense of humor and a high tolerance level for "straight talk." The amount of food vendors at the 2016 event seemed much smaller than in prior years events, but the quality remained very good!

Absolutely fantastic event. Good for kids, parents, and teenagers. From Scottish games, to authentic food, to amazing talent from all over the world, including comedians, bands, and artist. This event is the best Tulsa has to offer.
