Safari Mark's Bar and Bistro

What a cool place!! We stopped in here for a quick beer and appetizer and ended up loving the place!! We will be coming back to enjoy more food. The bartender also shared that they have karaoke nights and ladies nights! The beer was cold and the nachos were delicious!!

Wow! I did not expect a place like this in such a tiny town. We were in Sedan late at night for a political function and were desperate to find a place to eat. We didn't have much hope of finding a restaurant still open after 8:30 in a small, rural town and worried we'd have to drive far out of our way to find something to eat, but we spied this charming bar glowing across the street. What an oasis! We walked in to find a cool watering hole with a safari theme, complete with real taxidermied African animals on the wall and creative lighting that was fun, inviting and surprisingly chic. Our waitress was helpful and nice and had great drink and food suggestions. The fare was quite good and again, more than we expected. We were impressed they graciously marked vegetarian items as such in their menu which was much appreciated by the vegetarian in our troupe. We also LOVED their version of a Long Island Iced Tea, which we highly recommend if you're ever there.It was a great place to unwind and debrief from our event and being late on a weeknight, we pretty much had the place to ourselves, so it was the perfect ending to our time in Sedan. A nice meal here was just what we needed to fuel our long, late night journey back to the city.

Great local restaurant. Stopped for lunch, friendly staff and patrons made these out of towners feel welcome! Good sandwiches.

Ribeye! Ribeye! Ribeye! Check FB for specials but seriously try the ribeye. Great burgers and fried shrimp! Homemade bread melts in your mouth! Such a hidden gem in a small town like Sedan!

This spacious, comfy, very well done restaurant/bar is an amazing find in Sedan, Kansas.It's modern, comfortable seating every where, lots of room, attentive staff....and the largest menu full of just absolutely tasty, great, clean flavored food that is delivered hot.....and huge portions, too! All at very reasonable prices, too! Huge menu!Try the Mile High Club Sandwich..the mushrooms....fajitas when on the special board..burgers....fries, three kinds! Quesadillas...a very large menu to choose from with specials and items rotated on and off.....Mark and Kim run a great place here..and the longnecks are COLD......live bands.......waiting to check out Ned Ledoux here, Chris Ledoux's son, this fall....this is a gem in a small town, and you wouldn't expect it...in Sedan for a festival, hunting, or passing through southern Kansas on Rte 166? take a three mile detour up into the great farm town of Sedan, Kansas...and stroll around and do some shopping for Flint Hill Country Antiques as well!

Great food and service. Super place to grab a burger, beer and hang out. Had the safari special burger and honestly Eskimo Joe's could not have done it better
