About 2 years ago, I moved here in NWA. When I was living in Fayetteville, I discovered La Espiga De Oro in Springdale. For some strange reason, they are not listed here in Yelp, but it was my first exposure to Mexican bakery. They definitely have the most amazing and fresh breads and pastries. I was virtually there every week trying their different offerings. Unfortunately, when I moved to Rogers, I haven't found a place that is like La Espiga until now.Romina's Bakery is not as big as La Espiga yet their choices are plentiful and looks appetizing. I did not get a chance to taste their other breads, but I will surely return here. I just discovered this place because of desperation. In La Espiga, I bought one time their tres leches flan which is basically an equivalent of a favorite Filipino dessert called leche flan. So, I knew a Mexican bake shop should have one. Luckily, Romina have this. I got it and brought it to Filipino party. Guess what!! It was so delicious that it was immediately devoured. When I was asked if I made it, since it was so delicious, I took credit for it (sorry Romina). They love it! And, the best part of it, they thought that I made a killer leche flan. So, I will surely return here. That is the least I can do for taking credit for such wonderful flan.

So delicious! I'm visiting from Los Angeles and this is the BEST BAKERY I have ever been to. They have a huge variety of sweets to choose from as well as custom order cakes. Their prices are super affordable! The owners are really nice and very welcoming. Place is very clean and presentable. This bakery is a MUST TRY!

This is a new bakeshop that I stumbled in today it is roomy and clean. We really like the atmosphere. Although they don't have many things to sell yet however the place look promising and their baked goods appears to be enticing. We bought the chicken and pork tamales. The pork tamales is real good and the seasoning is on the spot, just a little bit spicy with every bite so it has a little kick to it, enough for those who are amateur in the spice world. Specially enjoyed it because there was a very good ratio as far as pork and the corn meal used. On the chicken tamales on the other hand, It was a little dry however, but the seasoning was spot on. They use chili verde on the chicken tamales and red chili on the pork tamales which was perfect in ways to distinguish which one is the pork or the chicken. We also ordered the carne Asada by the pound. It is cheap for only 5.99 per pound and it basically taste just like a Filipino adobo which is really good, but on the salty side therefore it goes very well with rice . They've handmade tortilla which is also delicious for the corn tortilla was of the right proportion as far as the sizing and it is very filling already. I guess I will be back for more to try other dish and baked goods that they have. The owner did graciously let me try their pork rind and I thought it was a little bit under cook so I did not buy any of it.

-This is a place that you can't skip when visiting Rogers or the vicinity's Bentonville/ Fayetteville Airport ( AXN ), 30 minutes away. -It is a family run Bussiness from Mexico City / Jalisco, that reminded me old times flavors from Mexico's capital sweet breads and bolillos. -They also have "lunches" ( bread filled with either ham or sausage) but you have to go early in morning since workers stop by early and buy several "lunches" for breakfast and lunch since they are also not expensive at all. -On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, they have menudo soup, tamales, champurrado hot drink or steam milk/ rice, yummy sweet.-They have a lot of different sweet and colorful breads and designs, each with its own flavor. -Don't skip this place, you won't be disappointed- from the 9 days visit in Rogers, Ar. We stop by 4 times there to try different items, menudo comes already with spicy hot flavor, taste it before adding more dry chile de árbol, add lemon/lime ñ, cilantro and onions to your taste.
