From thousand of dollars on meds spend bc they told me my dog would die without them... a LIE....to picking up my frenchie from a boarding and him being a totally different dogI've spoke to more ppl that have had similar experiences. My little guy needed a tumor removed so at the recommendation of a good friend, I made an appointment at River Trail with Dr. Laisney. I lean towards holistic care and that has made finding the right vet a bit challenging. During the first appointment, Dr. Laisney listened to me without judgement and set my mind at ease. We made an appointment two weeks later for the tumor removal. The procedure went perfectly and Dr. Laisney kept me informed the entire time and even brought Dexter out to me herself. I've seen some great vets but what has been lacking in the past has been communication, and even though I know how busy they can get, I really like to be able to talk with my vet directly especially after a surgery. Dr Laisney provided all of that and couldn't have been more perfect in her communication, bedside manner, and top notch surgery skills. We have found our forever veterinarian. Highly recommend!

I have came into this hospital for a simple nail trim and exam 3 different times .. and each time the staff was putting a dog or pet down.. I understand this is a difficult time and I was respectful of the decision of the company but I felt like other services should still be provided.. They gave me the feeling that they can't/wont work with another client while they are putting one down .. the entire clinic is out of commission and they aren't accommodating to reschedule a better time that works

We've used them several times and have been moderately happy with the care given to our dog. HOWEVER, the front desk and anyone you actually talk to are unnecessarily rude and insulting. This is has been an ongoing trend at the riverside establishment. The customer service on 2/3/2024 was EXCEPTIONALLY poor. We will not be using them again, if they can't speak to their clientele with basic decency.

We have always been pleased with the care our animals have been given both for medical care and boarding. We have had 4 dogs and a cat all receive care here at various times, and all of our experiences have been positive. When we had to put our dog down, the veterinarian spent a lot of time walking our whole family including our young kids through the process. He made saying goodbye a lot easier on all of us.

We have been using this place a few years and have had some issues, but after this weekend we will not board our dogs there again. The oldest of our two dogs was covered in urine when we came to get her, so apparently she had not been out for at least ten hours. Both of our dogs ran straight to the water bowl when we got them home as well. They had not been fed since the day before either. This is what $80 for an overnight stay for two dogs gets you. It also gets you a disorganized staff who do not seem capable of eye contact or acknowledging you when you speak to them. The issues from the past include kennel cough, loss of property, and repeated failure to perform services requested. If you care about your pets, go somewhere else.

My beloved Vet recently retired so , i tried River Trail animal hospital Bixby Memorial location. If you try this animal hospital i hope your pet poops solid gold bars - cause thats the only way you can afford this place. I have two dogs, it costs me $249 per dog , plus tax for annual exams and shots- thats it- nothing else ; over $500 !! And, i had to weigh both of my dogs myself - they make you do it. And, the receptionist and vet tech had a tiny - bit of an attitude. But , so did i once i found out the cost. I will not be back and do not recommend them.

This place used to be the model for veterinarian service and boarding, but has become completely unreasonable . We have two small dogs, they normally would be $35/day/dog/cage. We were told when we started boarding them together, it would be $50/day/dog/boarding together. Didn't catch it the last stay, but this stay I asked for an itemized, and saw what they were doing. Wife called to talk to the manager, who's reasoning was, "you paid it last time and didn't say anything" as if not catching the deceit was an implied acceptance. We caught it this time, because we were traveling 10 days and the $750 charge Of an $1100 bill stood out really obvious! Used to use riverside, we will be going back to our old office and boarding at woodland west, although it's 7 miles out of the way.We have spent several thousand on this place, and refuse to spend another dime on narcissism and deceit.

Dr. Seth George is one of the kindest and most compassionate vet that I have met over my life time. When I took Buddy to see Dr. George it was a surprise diagnoses. Dr. George walked me through the process after the xrays etc. to confirm Buddy's huge abdominal tumor. Thank you Dr. George for your compassion as Buddy made his journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

Our English Bulldog was boarded over this past weekend. Upon arrival to pick her up on Sunday, she was in respiratory distress and we had to rush her to the ER where she was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and pulmonary edema. She was immediately intubated and put in an oxygen tank. Her tongue was blue and she was wheezing when she was brought out to my car. Staff should be trained on how to recognize that an animal is in distress!!! There should be a physician on call and staff that can assist him for an ER situation. We will never go to River Trails again and will tell everyone about this experience. We would have lost Pumpkin if she had been there one more day. The physician at the ER who saved her apologized to us for how our animal was mistreated. It breaks our heart to think of her struggling to breath all weekend with no advocate to help her!!!!
