I hung out with Mike for a while yesterday, learning more about his great little shop in the Plaza district. I love that this is never the same store twice, because Mike is out searching for pieces almost as many hours per week as the store is open. Specializing in mid-century furniture and kitchenware, you'll also find lots of cool ashtrays, paintings, lamps, and home decor items. He also finds a lot of classic stereo cabinet, which can still be used. We ended up purchasing two side tables. They were in great shape, and have a lot more character than anything we would have found down on furniture row. We also got a cool old pull-down, schoolhouse-style map of South America. Since Mr K lived in Paraguay and I lived in Brasil, I think that's a cool addition to the study. I'm a fan. I'm sure this is the first of many things I'll be purchasing from Mike over the years. He posts photos to their facebook page as he makes new finds, and he will also offer to stay on the lookout for something he knows you're looking for. I can't wait to see what he finds next! Note: If you're there during business hours and the shop is not open for some reason, please call the number on the sign. He may be at an estate sale or at a private in-home appointment, but if you're there and he's not, just give him a call and he'll be back. He really does work hard to be there during regular hours. If he's not, it's a fluke.

I LOVE all things retro and vintage! If you look at me you can seriously tell. Located in the Paseo/Plaza district this area is up and coming with corky shops, small eats and hang out spots.I shopped in this district in support of #shopsmall 2016!Curated midcentury and modern finds is what you will find here. The prices are a bit higher however most of the pieces are in very good condition. They also have an etsy storehttps://www.etsy.com/shop/retrOKC which also has great finds. They are unique and a jewel to have in OKC. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful which is a great recipe to have for continued success.

I went to Retrokc a little over a year ago and it is by far one of the best Mid Century Modern stores I've been to. I travel all over the States for work and have been to stores in some of the larger cities like New York, Las Angeles, Chicago and even Palm Springs and this place by far exceeds those cities. Not only in the quality but in price. The owner is very cool as well, he isn't one of those store owners that just assumes you don't know what you are looking at. You know the owners who proceed to give a history lesson about every piece in the store. He was also really helpful about recommending some cool places to eat and other places to shop. I can't want to go back with more money and bring some cool pieces back home.

Mike is a cool, friendly and helpful biz owner. He has a nice selection of 1950's-60's household items - clean, excellent condition. For someone wanting to build up their collection of nice period items, he has a good selection.

I've been a "fan" of RetrOKC on facebook for a while, and finally made it down to see the merchandise in person! It is a store where everything is so unique, you HAVE to check it out, look at it front every angle, and run your fingers across it (I'm one of those shoppers that has to touch the item to really get a feel for it, no pun intended).I feel like all the pieces of furniture would be instant conversations starters in anyone's house. I especially fell in love with all the kitchenware, as vintage pyrex is my absolute weakness. RetrOKC just became one of my "go-to" furniture places, and another place I have to stop at when I'm in the Plaza District!

Great little Plaza District shop filled with mid-century modern furniture and fun, kitschy accessories.Parking can be a real bear, yes, but that's unmistakably true about, well, essentially ALL of the businesses and non-profits alike in this burgeoning neighborhood.I'm so glad to see folks like Mike revitalizing the Plaza area!

My gal pal and I stumbled across this place during the Plaza's monthly gathering. It's so awesome to see such a retro establishment with great finds in Oklahoma City! The staff is nice and there is so much history to discover with every little teacup and furnishing.

I love to pop into this wonderfully curated mid-century modern inspired vintage shop. If you want to start living like Don Draper, you best stop into Retrokc first. I've been looking for the perfect side tables to complete my living room and I'm confident they will show up in the store soon, just have to make sure I get down there fast enough. The owner post many of the more awesome finds on the Facebook page, so it's good to keep and eye out and move quickly if something strikes your fancy. https://www.facebook.com/retrOKC
