This is one of the top places for lunch in Joplin as all their food is just REALLY GOOD! You walk in and order from the counter and then they bring it out to your table and there is always enough places to sit and the service is always fantastic. Sandwiches, salads and soups are the main choices with sides and pick 2 options as well. You just cannot go wrong here!!

If you're from the Joplin area you know about Red Onion. A local staple of fine deli style food - and dinners at their main restaurant.The 32nd Street location is my go to. It's their simplified menu 'Espressoria' and the consistent perfect keeps us coming back. Dave's fried chicken salad and a smokehouse turkey is the best lunch pairing you can get anywhere close!

Thank you for the gluten free bread and chips for my mom is gluten intolerance. makes eating out more enjoyable for her . it's hard to find restaurants to accommodate food restriction.

This restaurant is consistently delicious! Their sandwiches are very generous and so tasty. The salads are good, too. We like the Reuben and the turkey, bacon, ranch sandwiches the best. They also have the half sandwich plus a salad option, which is still generous. Their specials are very creative and a delight. Nice staff. Good atmosphere...especially if you can get a booth!

I love Red Onion Espressoria! I come here all the time and have never been disappointed. I am constantly checking in on Facebook and raving about their Raspberry Truffle lattes. So good!I've had many things on the menu, but my go-tos are the BLT&A and Versatile Veggie sandwiches. Both are great, although the veggie sandwich is extremely messy, so beware! And sometimes the dill cream cheese can be too much, but I just scoop out the excess spilling out of my sandwich and it all works out.Spinach and Feta salad is so simple because literally its just spinach, feta and tomato but it goes so well with their homemade vinegarette. And the bow tie pasta salad is ridiculously creamy and satisfying in its little styrofoam cup (perfect portion size cuz you know it's oh so bad for you!).I will continue to frequent this restaurant a billion times over. Highly recommended.

No espresso. Not a coffee shop. Just to be clear, don't make the mistake I made and assume there is espresso based coffee drinks here, there is not. They do have black brewed coffee, but that's it. Overall it's a cute little cafe with a pretty extensive food menu. The food was made quickly and tasted fresh. Just please don't make the same mistake I made and assume they have specialty coffee.

This place is the bomb!! Happened to be passing through and yelped them up. Definitely worth the stop. We ordered to go, chat on phone was not much but food was all worth it!

Excellent food. The mandarin orange chicken salad is my favorite. Also their chicken salad sandwich is delicious. Order at the desk and they deliver to your table. A variety of seating booths, tables and bar stools. Excellent lunch spot eat in or take out.

I would give a no star review if I could. We were taking Grandpa out for lunch after a visit to see Grandma in her nursing home and they mentioned how much they love Red Onion. They were fairly full as we came in, no tables for our party of 6 save one dirty one, a couple booths and small tables for 4. I walked up to the counter where two men were standing around, doing nothing and asked about seating and the bald man with the beard said "nothings tied down, move what you want" So we said ok and started to do so when he yells "not that!" Seems like it would've been easy for them to walk over and clean off the 6 topper? The 6 of us left. Very rude, very lazy. Hello Cracker Barrel!

Our family has visited several times just this week, while visiting Mercy hospital. Highly recommend the Ruben and the Tomato Bisque. The Cucumber and tomato salad reminded me of grandmas. Food is fresh and make with care. The service is informal but hits all your expectations and delivered with smiles.
