I have always enjoyed going into Poseidon Adventures. Randy the owner is a former Navy seal and industrial diver. He is very knowledgeable. My wife and I have taken multiple scuba classes there. They have a diving pool onsite. This makes it very convenient. You can go straight from the classroom to the pool. Not sure if they went ahead and closed due to the pandemic or retirement.

Gave them one star because they were open when I went by....Went in too have the cover on my second stage replaced and equipment inspected before I went in a dive trip. I didn't have time to do it myself. No idea who the guy was, manager or shop hand, but before I could get a word in, he became confrontational about having my equipment inspected. I said " I know, that's why I'm here." Then he said he doesn't even service my brand of equipment. When I asked if another shop could, he said "how should I know."Will never use this shop for anything. Not service or sales. I've been to lots of shops and everyone had been helpful and if they couldn't do the service have always been eager to point me in the right direction.

There was a friendly, knowledgeable guy there the first time I visited, but since then I've only seen and talked to a man who is utterly clueless. He didn't know what a Carbon monoxide analyzer is! I WILL NEVER TRUST FILLS FROM THIS SHOP. ANALYZE YOUR GAS FOLKS, it's your life. on top of that, the guy was so rude - he signed me up for a mailing list before I realized what he was doing, then acted upset when I said I wanted to be removed.

Randy and Sara have been running Poseidon Adventures forever. It is a great diveshop. They carry all the equipment you need, do service on scuba equipments, have great instructors and plan great dive trips.

My daughter signed up for Open water certification last summer while out on summer break.I can tell you honestly, she really enjoyed the classes and especially the actual diving up atBeaver Lake, From what I could see and the remarks from my daughter, instructors werevery professional, informative and made sure each diver understood what they were learning. My daughter is excited for this summer because she intends on getting her Advanced Open Water certification and if possible, her Search & Rescue.Hats off to Poseidon & staff. Job well done.

I gave Poseidon adventures 250 dollars for the class, I completed the class, I did my open water dive in beavers bend, so in total I spent 800 dollars to get a freaking card which I don't have because they are rude and need professional etiquette. so what happened was I needed to rent their gear because I did not have my own. But because of a family emergency I could not bring their gear back that next day. So after all the money I paid to get this done they refused to give me my divers card because I was late with their gear. Don't let these guys do what they did to me. And they still refuse to give me my card and I'm not even a registered diver with Padi.....hmmmm funny how these non professional business owners screw you.

The recent reviews are quite accurate. The owner is very rude. It also seems as if he only deals with the Scubapro line. I'm sure their products are for the most part good quality, but "one size does not fit all". I went in to get some fins and booties for snorkeling. (At the time, I thought this was the only dive shop in Tulsa.) I bought some booties but then later saw some others that were better suited for snorkeling. So I returned the one pair (he only takes store credits on returns) and after much difficulty in dealing with him, he ordered the snorkeling pair. He said they were $41. He ended up charging me $44. Lesson Learned: GO TO THE DIVE SITE on 41st Street. The owner there has LOTS of choices, and he is very helpful and knowledgeable.

If I could leave a bag of sh*t on the owner's doorstep every night for the rest of his lonely life, I would do it with a smile. The owner has no patience and he is about as amiable as Kim Jong Il. I have encountered him twice as both a retail and scuba lesson customer and both experiences were deeply traumatizing. I genuinely worry for the well-being of his employees. Avoid like the plague.

The one star shown above is given only because the cashier, Chad, was very nice and helpful. He was the only good thing about my experience at Poseidon Adventures. The owner, Randy, is another story. He was very rude to me when I went to return a $130 purchase I had made 2 hrs prior. My dad took diving lessons from Randy a couple of years ago and dropped out of the class because he was not a very accommodating instructor. Instead he was for lack of a better word, an a-hole. My dad was only one class away from being certified but decided that he would rather lose his $250 than to spend one more day with that man. I'm sure there are other dive companies in Tulsa that appreciate their customers and show them by delivering excellent customer service.

my family took open water certification and had a blast. The instructors were very patient ,they gave good tips and suggestions to help us improve the area's we had trouble with. The trip to beaver lake to do our 4 dives was wonderful. We stayed at pointe west hotel very nice place. We met a lot of dive masters and others who were working on different dives. The information and stories were fun. Thanks to Ben and his crew for getting us thru certification. If you are looking for a place to get gear, dive classes or to meet some great divers you cant go wrong with Poseiden Adventures. Thanks guys we will be back for advance classes and specialty dives.
