P J's Sandwich Shoppe

Cute little cafe/sandwich shop in Midtown! The sandwiches are very good and the owner makes a fresh cake everyday for dessert. Also, it was great to speak with the owner about the shop and the folks that frequent it. I will go back!

I've only been to PJs three times but today I was able to walk in get a sandwich to go and leave within 10 minutes. Every time I go the staff is super sweet and ensures that I get the most out of my order. Today I had a ham and cheese Sandwich on rye bread with coleslaw. And they reminded me that every time I come in I get a small dessert and today I chose the chocolate chip cookie that was so good.I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich, but I highly recommend going there if you need a quick, low-key lunch meeting or food to grab and go.

This is the best sandwich shop in town. Very afford and everything is delicious. I have tried the turkey avocado, the drip, the chicken salad, and their largest sandwich which I don't remember the name. My favorite sandwiches are the turkey avocado and the beef drip. Their best deal is 1/2 sandwich and chili/soup. I like both the chili and soup. For the chili, the option to not include beans is traditional. For the soup, I like the chicken noodle. Chili and soup are homemade or at least taste like it. If you pay with cash, you get a free cookie. The restaurant is in the corner by an antique shop. I love the arrangements and decorations inside. It feels very homey and welcoming. It's great for people who yearn to return to a distant past, to escape from modern society, and to return to a simpler time. The service is quick. It seems like most orders are to go and most customers are returners. Also, the pickles are divine.

Tip of the day.....Bring Cash!The P.J.'S Sandwich Shop couldn't be in a less visible location. It is well hidden. Inconspicuously tucked in the corner of a small suite of shops, and quite fittingly next to an antique store. Its setting adds to the ambiance. When you enter, the décor is noticeably reminiscent of little old ladies tea room. But it is not. It is well-established and well recognized for being one of Tulsa's customer pleasing sandwich shops. Proof of the years of love and recognition hang on the walls. P. J.'S is a sandwich shop, as in "sliced bread" sandwiches, not sub style. Don't let that lower your expectations. The sandwiches are fabulous. Somewhat like your grandmother might make, but much better. P.J.'S has the appropriate accompaniments for your sandwich: Cole slaw, potato salad, pasta salad, or chips. Their menu expands to meal salads, soups, chili. and you can do combinations of those offerings. Also, cookies and brownies! I had the Club which is advertised as P.J.'S largest sandwich. A triple stack of bread with ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. There was no scrimping on the bacon. Chips for the side. Excellent sandwich. My wife went with the Chicken Club. Sliced, mesquite grilled, chicken breast with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Another very good sandwich!This is a rare, exemplary, little shop that has a dedicated following. Great friendly service, with a cozy neighborhood feel.Bonus! Pay with cash and you get a free cookie!!!! P.J.'S does accept credit cards but, "No Cookie for You!"

This is definitely a hidden gem! The employees were sweet and they also have outdoor seating. It's very cozy feeling inside and quiet! I got the pineapple cream cheese sandwich and it was so fresh and delicious. My husband got the meatloaf sandwich and enjoyed it. I tried the meatloaf and it was super good as well! The potato salad and Mac salad were also good!! My husband also got a sugar cookie with lemon icing and they iced it right there for you. It was so lemony and fresh! Will def be back for a Sammy on a hot day this summer!

It's tucked back in there. Back and to the left. Had the club, it was huge and delicious. The chocolate chip cookies are really good.

Visited this little gem of a sandwich shop for the first time today. I'd never heard of it before, never knew it was there, but some of the neighbors were talking about how good it is, so I checked out their menu and noticed a particular sandwich that intrigued me, so I decided to give it a try. The sandwich I tried was the ham, pineapple, and cream cheese. My sister likes the more traditional sandwiches, and got the ham and cheese. Both were delicious. For the sides, she got potato salad, which she said was excellent, and I got the pasta salad, which was also excellent. You get a lot of food for your money.I had been looking for a good sandwich shop, and this one does not disappoint. The shop itself is small, but very cozy. Food can be ordered to dine in or carry out. This is definitely a place we will visit again.

The food is SO delicious. We had the entire family serving us, talking about the restaurants history & making sure we were comfortable. The ambiance reminded me of my grandmas house (in the best way)! We felt so welcomed and taken care of! Plus, FREE DESSERT!!

WOW!!!! My husband and I have lived in Tulsa our whole lives and somehow didn't know PJ's existed. Clearly a hidden gem of Tulsa. We've been making up for lost time and have been multiple times in the last month. All food is homemade, the staff is AMAZING (shoutout to Jan), and all meals come with free dessert. This is the food you ate at grandma's as a child. Absolutely delicious and made with love.
