I think I prefer the other YMCA outlets more because1) There are only two 25-yard lap lanes here. I usually swim at 5.30am, and I have never gotten a lane to myself. There were 5 people swimming in the 2 lanes yesterday morning which is too much of a squeeze.2) The cycling/spin class was nice, but it is held in the older section of the building. Think the ceiling was dripping rainwater when we went one time. You can probably also use better/newer equipment at other YMCA outlets.3) I went for the morning Flow Yoga class, and it was held at the same place as the cycling/spin class. The Wednesday and Friday Flow Yoga classes are held 5 minutes after the cycling/spin class. Not the most conducive environment for yoga if you ask me. Maybe I am fussy, but it was not fun laying on my yoga mat on the old gym floor in that muggy room that just had lots of people sweating.

I don't know how long this facility has been open but my guess is that it's one of the newest ones. It is huge and included a double court gym, cardio and weight training areas, lockers and shower rooms and my favorite: the pool! It has a lazy river (water aerobics!) with toys for kids and a long winding slide. Kids absolutely LOVE it. My nephew even had his birthday party there and everyone had fun. They have a variety of group exercise classes including boot camp, cycle, kickboxing, dance classes, yoga, Pilates, step, Zumba, and the list goes on!Their indoor pool is open year-round but make sure you go online (ymcatulsa.org) and check the schedule--same for group classes--before going. You can also sign up for sport leagues, they have basketball, soccer, flag football and more! They divide the groups by age: kids (3-8, 9-12) and adult. They also have other programs such as before and after school care. There are various events held throughout the year that are open to everyone such as their Halloween dance, thanksgiving run, Zumba marathon, etc. If you like them on Facebook, you'll know what's going on. As far as memberships go, it is around $50-100 (depending on family members). No members can swim for $5 and use the gym for $10.

We were so excited about having a Y close to us. We were so disappointed. The new part of the Y here is only the pool( which is not that big and the lazy river is not a lazy river really it's very small about a big circle and people just walk in it.) the lazy river we had at out old pool in Gardner, ks was huge and took several minutes to go around on the tube. The new building is also the Zumba classes and a gym and the cardio equipment. To get to child care, free weights and old gym and other classes you go outside and walk to the old building. Then you still have to go upstairs to get to free weights to a tiny room. We were not at impressed at all and the only reason it gets 2 stars in the new building is very nice.

It's just so disorganized! Lack of communication in sports. Seems like a general lack of care by staff and management. Failed to teach the core values that they claim . hours vary too much to keep up with for the pool and gym

Generally a good facility, but the internet isn't very good. So, bring your own device, but don't be surprised when you can't stream anything and you're stuck watching Fox news or golf on YMCA's tvs.

First time going because my friends and I heard that the pool was good, but our experience was terrible. I guess because we did not have liytle children with us. We were getting warmed up to do laps, but one of the "life guards" told us that if we do not do laps asap then we had to get out. We were putting our goggles on and getting ready to do some back strokes. He only targeted my friends and I, there was this other person just walking around in the laps part of the pool and the "life guard" did not say anything to that other person.

Horrible. We got there for the family swim time, paid WAY more than it should have been (5 bucks each from BIRTH....), total of 40 bucks for our group. No big deal. But when we got in to the pool area and we're about to swim, a life guard comes by and says they have to close for 30 minutes because a child pooped in the water. So we sit down to wait. Then another life guard says it's actually gonna be over an hour. They had to call out to find out what exactly to do, which makes me wonder if they were properly trained. Then yet another life guard says it's gonna be closed at least an hour and that we can't even wait "on the deck", which is the pool area. Well, we're not about to make the 3 toddlers in our group stand around for over and hour to swim for the 30 mins that would be left in the swim time. Since we didn't get to swim AT ALL, we went as asked for our money back, and the front desk refused. Wanted to give us swim passes to come back. We explained that we don't live in the area so that wouldn't work, and we just want the 40 back so we could go swim elsewhere. They still refused and kept trying to force the swim passes. Said the 2 20 dollar bills we handed them were "in the system" and they weren't going to give them back. We pressed, and finally, quite rudely, the woman at the desk pulled the money out and gave it to us, "as a one time courtesy" and started to say that next time it wouldn't be allowed. We assured her that there wouldn't BE a next time after that ordeal. Horrible customer service, and under trained life guards. Would NOT recommend.
