Oscar's Famous Ribs

I dug in too fast to take any photos unfortunately, but WOW, the BBQ at Oscar's is just beyond. My family's been a fan of Oscar's for years, stopping by the gas station stand that used to be by Big Cedar when in town. While we're sad it closed, the location in Branson brought the same incredible flavors we remembered and love. The ribs truly are something special - maybe the best I've ever had. The pulled pork sliders and mac and cheese were solid options. I don't typically eat baked beans, but their meaty baked beans were OUTSTANDING. Sauces were the perfect consistency and right balance of sweet and smoky. They have a medium and hot option of sauce too, that had good kick without scorching your taste buds. SIMPLE MENU AND FOOD DONE TO PERFECTION.

Hey Yelpers! Stopped by here to pick up some food to take home. Got the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, meaty beans, and some drinks. The pork came with the sauce on the side, which was nice. It let us make it as saucy as we wanted. The pork had a great smoked flavor all on its own. The beans had more meat than expected and a really good flavor, as did the mac and cheese. We went through the drive through and the service was friendly and very fast. There was no dine in eating when we were there. If you are looking to dine in, call ahead. It may have been due to them closing a short time after we were there. Either way, we would visit them again. Check them out!!!

Tried this place for the first time about a week ago. I had the sampler. All 3 meats came chopped up. I would've liked my chicken to be sliced instead of chopped, but it wasn't too bad. The chicken was my favorite meat as the pork and brisket seemed dry. I also tried the polish sausage. It was very good. The BBQ sauce (the hot and the mild) was vinegar based, which isn't my favorite. The meaty beans were awesome and the coleslaw was good. I'm not a fan of bottled drinks, but they weren't terribly overpriced. Staff were very friendly and the dining room had space for larger parties, however it's at a long table with metal fold out chairs. Those chairs in particular aren't very sturdy/comfortable for larger people. The restrooms needed to be cleaned, but other than that, it wasn't bad.All in all, it wasn't my cup of tea, but that's not because the food is bad necessarily. It's just not my favorite style of BBQ.

Oscars's was a pleasant surprise for a great meal. We were downtown shopping and ran across this place and decided to give it a try since it looked like a popular local BBQ spot. We are from Texas and would like to consider ourselves BBQ officianados. Let me tell you this place would give any of our Texas BBQ joints a run for their money! We had the baby back ribs and meaty beans. We both had a half rack and could only eat half of ours, so had enough for lunch the next day. It was truly delicious. They have made a new customer anytime we are in Branson.

Wow wow is all my husband and I can say !!! Best bbq we have had since being in Missouri. Great family owned place with healthy portions of your favorite meats!!! Can't say enough about Oscars !!!

I never want to leave a bad review so I am going to just say this wasn't really my kind of BBQ place. I got the half slab ribs and side of potato salad. 1. I am not a fan of my ribs being wrapped in plastic and that made them slimy. I love a bark on my ribs and with them being wrapped in plastic it made them slime I feel, and I wasn't really a fan. Also, it would be nice if you sliced the ribs and not just left it a giant rib chunk. 2. The BBQ Sause was vinegar based and I am not a fan of that, I like the sweet BBQ souse. 3. the potato salad was mayo based and I am only a fan of mustered based potato salad. 4. My wife got a sampler, and all the meat were chopped up almost to mush chicken should be sliced sme with brisket you shouldn't assume everyone was everything chopped. The coleslaw was good and the mac and cheese was good.. I wasn't a fan of bottled drinks I feel they should have drinks out and not charge for every single bottle. I am not sure I would be back but like I said it just isn't my style of BBQ but I wanted to leave a review.

Whenever I'm visiting Branson, Oscar's is a MUST stop! Delicious food and fantastic service leaves me always wanting to come back for more! Their baby back ribs and meaty beans just can't be beat!

Great food ! Super friendly staff! we got to try a sample of the house baked beans and it blow all of our mind !!! The ribs are amazing ! Right next to 3 great thrift stores so you can walk off the overly stuffed feeling ! For sure a must stop joint !

Great BBQ joint. It's good food at a great price, served by wonderful folks. I would classify it as a BBQ hole in the wall. I always see locals in there when I go. It's a small place with great food that does not market to the tourists masses. It's not flashy, high priced, medium quality, high volume food. It is slow cooked, great priced, high quality, with helpful friendly staff. Pork steaks are fall off the bone plastic fork tender. Polish sausage has a nice flavor to it as well. Spicy link sausage does not cater to the masses as it is spicy in more than name. The baked beans are loaded with meat and have a great smoked flavor. I was pleased with the Mac and cheese (I'm not a Mac and cheese expert.)I talked to the lady behind the counter that was the owner. Local, non corporate ownership.
