Easy parking and clean bathroom right next to swim beach. Arrive early for less crowds. After 3 it got crowded but it was not bad for a Saturday. There was also volleyball court, lots of grass and picnic tables under the shade too! We will def come back year after year!

This was my first visit to Oologah Lake. I came quite early in the morning about 8:30am on a Sunday. I came specifically to hike the Skull Hollow Nature Trail. No one was in the gate attendant shack when I pulled up but there were easy to follow instructions to self pay. It was only $5 for a day pass which I thought was a great deal! The hike along the nature trail was beautiful. There are many areas where you're able to look out over the lake if you follow the "hiking" trail. I took my doggo with me. I personally didn't think it was a very strenuous hike, but I'm also fairly active. Be careful and watch your footing. I also came across what I would call a "hidden beach". Unless you hike to it or know where to locate it via boat, it's quite private. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to come back once everything greens up and bring a lunch with me to enjoy it for longer. The trail seemed well maintained and there wasn't any trash anywhere which is what I always like to see. I hope to get back to this lake before the end of summer. I'm trying to visit a different Tulsa District Corps lake each weekend this summer! Would highly recommend!!

This is a beautiful setting and they have a nice nature trail. I wish they had more trails. It's easy to access, near Will Rogers birthplace. You should also visit his birthplace when you're in the area.

My son and I hiked all 3 loops in the Skull Hollow Nature Trail. It was so beautiful with over looks of Lake Oolagah. It is a nice shaded trail for when it warms up. The main trail is a little over a mile, there is a long and short loop that are shorter, also a trail to the gazebo that was very pretty. We loved all of it, will definitely be back. My son wants to go camping here this summer, the camp area looked very nice.

We were looking to get out of the house the other day, but still be prudent with social distancing (this was written during the Covid-19 crisis), so we drove to Oologah Lake to do some hiking. The Skull Hallow Trail is a nice trail with a short, medium, and long versions of the trail. It was a pleasant hike, with well defined trails. The lake itself is brown cloudy (like the majority of Oklahoma lakes), but the rocky shore made for a pretty hike that wasn't too much of a challenge.

Right by the dam, super view of the lake. Picnic tables and a restroom. Grass kept cut. There is not lake access from the overlook. There is fishing, boating, swimming, camp king and picnicking on and around the lake. Lots of birds.

This is not a place for swimming. They have a tiny section dedicated to swimming and it's nothing but rocks. Cost 5 dollars to get in which is stupid because this is a lake.

What's so disappointing is that the Corp of Engineers allows only one marina on this lake and has such low standards for operations, order, appearance and cleanliness. It could be so much more the restaurant is OK wish it had better hours however the parking lot, overall appearance is like seriously this is it the boat rentals, gas facilities and docks need help. They really need to invest in Infastructure improvements. Again staff at the bar restaurant we have never had an issue with are very friendly and food is good.
